my personal favorite gundam properties, in no order OG series 08th MS Team Zeta Gundam Gundam: The Origin Gundam Unicorn Gundam Thunderbolt (this rules btw) Iron-Blooded Orphans The Witch from Mercury

I love the blatant arrogance on display in this whole DoD group chat fiasco. This group of upward failures have so obviously never faced consequences in their fucking lives that the concept of OPSEC doesn't dissuade them from using their preferred messaging app cause a SCIF is inconvenient

We probably could illuminate America indefinitely from Republican gaslights alone

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Rep. Lisa McClain on CNN next to a ticker showing the stock market tanking for the third day this week: "It is going to take some unconventional methods to get us out of the mess we've been in the past four years with the EV mandates, with unfair trade. This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone."

PATEL: So yeah, we'll need to move agents into schools to start brutalizing more people and... SWAMP CREATURE: *walks through frame wearing only a towel* PATEL: OMG I'm so sorry guys

PUTIN: *breaks into my house, steals things, shoots my dog, and starts fighting me* ME: What the hell give me my stuff back LUTNICK: Really? All your stuff? What a trouble maker!

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Lutnick on Zelenskyy: "You gotta say, 'We love America, We appreciate America' ... Instead he said, 'I want $300b in reparations from Russia. I want them off my land. I want all the land.' Really! All the land ... it's just way too far. That's not a peacemaker. That's a troublemaker."

Lemme share something with you. A lot of semi-Trumpy types are saying Zelensky blew it. All he had to do was show up, shake hands, say Trump is great and sign the docs. He couldn't do that. But there are also people in DC who are not Trumpy who are saying the same thing. Now, big picture this ...

So much discourse about the econ blackout today. The posts to get the word out seemed to have worked, the problem is they might create a false expectation that it will do anything on its own. The strength of big actions like this is being able to say "and I'll do it again" afterwards. Follow through

Democratic Whip Katherine Clark to House Dems: "House Republicans are trying to jam through their Budget Resolution after assuring House Democrats that there would be no further votes this evening. "

Replying to @fritschner.bsky.social

Every Democrat who is in DC returned in time to vote against the bill (the lone NV is Rep. Grijalva, who is fighting cancer). The vote shenanigans did not make the difference in the end, Dems made sure they all got to vote. Your anger is best direct at the people who actually do the bad things!

I think there's a flaw in saying DEI can't actually combat racism. Psychology is funny. When you have people work together toward common goals, it tends to heal division and create shared identity and solidarity, even if the initial attitudes are negative. Putting people in a big T-shirt together.

I think it's missed in Dem focus group based planning that when you abandon the most vulnerable to "pick your fights", you're abandoning the people with the biggest incentive to fight, work, and advocate for you. They may be "small" demographically but they show up more consistently and yell louder

The feed has deemed today "Discuss why abandoning DEI is kinda dumb" day. Yeah it feels like a bunch of intellectual types want to conflate corporate DEIA initiatives not coming from a place of genuine concern for equality, with the current gutting of MILITARY AND GOVT POLICY

It's in no way a vindication of you disliking having to listen to HR talk about sensitivity when the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT CHANGES HOW IT ENFORCES THE LAW. We're not talking about workplaces trying to be inclusive in an attempt to paint over their past, we're witnessing an attempt to end legal equality

I'm often reminded of the South Park episode when the AARP launches a hostile takeover of the United States through their ability to wake up before everyone else. They're ultimately thwarted by the boys, who get up around the same time for school, locking the breakfast buffet doors.

Today we see some weird bastardization of the plot, with a boomer in office seemingly as a front for a Gen X coup. Rather then being early risers though, Muskrat claims it's cause the Fed doesn't work weekends, and they're pulling all nighters throwing the software equivalent of shit at the wall.

So, with the everything happening all the time forever, I think I'll take to mental vomiting onto social media to clear my head a bit. After spending way too long assembling this post I'm not convinced it's a good idea. Better keep trying to make sure it's not a fluke.

Definitely becoming a believer in that good times weak men shit tbh. These people think shit just appears in front of them by magic. Clean water comes out of your tap, ratshit absent from your cereal, and your Amazon package at your porch all by magic. Do whatever you want and it will keep coming

You are up to date.
