I'm really sad on behalf of Microsoft and Epic that they are having their IP stolen by AI rather than just being able to steal others IP by using AI. Sparing extra thoughts and prayers for Tim Sweeney at this troubling time

It takes roughly 50% more money to run Anthropic than it takes to provide a Nordic welfare state to 5 million people. I have a really hard time seeing how Anthropic could ever provide more value than that. And Finland only makes about 10 billion in losses every year!

I don't hate AI. I think ML has its uses and LLM and GPTs are interesting. My issues with it: 1. Our rabid quest for endless growth where we are destroying the planet for private equity 2. The hype marketing bullshit surrounding these technologies 3. Using ML to replace human art and expression

One thing I've noticed with LLM, any model / all models, is that it is totally unable to hold and maintain multiple threads of logic. They invariably get confused and mixed together. You necessarily need to architect boundaries around discrete threads

What seems unhinged and idiotic is an act covering pure psychopathic stock market manipulation and theft. Keeping the charade going is the goal because the siphoning continues while everyone is distracted with spectacle
