Microsoft will offer buyouts to about 60,000 workers, part of the company’s efforts to trim costs and retool its workforce for the AI era. Read more: bloom.bg/3TX8U6D 📷: David Paul Morris/Bloomberg

The line for me was when the flock cameras went up overnight in my tiny mountain community. Why the fuck am I being tracked on my way to work and home?

I don't know that there is a definitive line to cross that makes you say, "I live in a police state now" but when masked gunmen can routinely brutalize the public, citizen or immigrant alike, with impunity, you have reached that point.

Get his ass.

House Judiciary Democrats have just released a 50-page report that pulls together years of assault allegations against Trump and his reported connections to Jeffrey Epstein. The report calls for a special counsel to investigate Trump's ties to Epstein.

The good thing about nothing mattering anymore is we can rip up these pardons because they aren’t worth the paper they’re printed on.

Reminded of how tv news looped the images of the military equipment the Biden administration deliberately left behind in Afghanistan for weeks after the withdrawal as if they represented a huge scandal

It’s a new reason every goddamn day. But this one is high on the list of the worst offenses. Dem leadership could literally pick from a hat of 1000 scraps of paper and convict in a normal Congress.

The Ilhan Omar stuff is grotesque and feels worthy of impeachment by itself

we literally had no snow pack in Colorado this year. The reservoirs that feed the Colorado River are empty.

As always with Rs, the sense is not so much that they deny the physical phenomenon of climate change as the presence or absence of the phenomenon simply never enters their thinking. They interact with it *purely* as a partisan matter, something libs care about. No awareness of a world beyond.

I don't think I've made this point on this platform before it's no coincidence IMO that so much fash faux nostalgia AI slop is indistinguishable from the most gonzo dystopian "what the whole hep world would be doing Saturday night if the Nazis had won the war, this is the sixth Reich" parodies, IE:

I’m not a conspiracy guy. Aliens probably haven‘t visited us. Oswald may have had help but he was the shooter. 9/11 wasn’t an inside job. But I truly wonder how much help big Donny had in 24’. Biden fucked the football hard but man..

new AP/NORC poll on how Americans rate Trump's performance as president: approve...........31% disapprove.....69%

Of all the people that are in over their heads in this administration. Marco is the most. if youd asked him 10 years ago if he’d be up for war criminal of the year at The Hague in 26’ he’d never believe it. Even Cruz, ferret that he is, knew not to dirty his hands like this.

With the Strait of Hormuz closed, Iraq has resorted to moving its oil across the desert to Syria in hundreds of tanker trucks, in true Mad Max style. From there, it will be shipped to worldwide markets.

This right here. The worse he feels the dumber things get. Like, I could see this week he declares Florida its own country and that he can both be King of Florida and President of the other 49. just for funsies.

Normally when someone you hate has a really, really bad week, you’re pretty happy. However, when this happens to Trump, I know he’s going to lash out in fury and i fear it will be bad for all of us.

How do ADs keep falling for this guy? I’m sure there’s a new awful parasite around the corner to lead your team.

lane kiffin is like that cheating asshole women keep marrying because they think they’ll be the one who can fix him but in the end he’ll just run them over on his way out

I think we should all take another look at Maximum Overdrive. In the 80s horror scene. It holds up. We owe King an apology. Stoned or not, he directed that bitch and it watches like it would read.

We can mourn what the last 25 years could have been. But man, why relive 9-11 all night on network tv? Everything has sucked in new and different ways since than and most of it was self inflicted.

This is the bit in Bruce Almighty where everyone prays to win the lotto and so he just gives it to them and they all win about a buck seventy five. Except big D has no intention of remembering this promise 90 seconds after he said it.

Oh come on.

96’ I was thrown onstage by the front row (directed by my kid brother) with Dylan at the Five Flags Center in Dubuque. The man shook my hand and I stage dived off.

Republicans have always told us that cutting regulations for corporations would make products better and cheaper. Turns out, without regulations, corporations will just wash our food with literal shit and charge us even more for food we can’t eat…
