What if you could execute a @nodejs.org package without ever unzipping it? What if npm had no central server, just a peer-to-peer mesh with cryptographic integrity baked in?

Looking forward to talking about what Iโ€™ve been working on at NodeConf EU next month! And excited to catch up with all my tech friends. ๐Ÿ™‚

Nice to see Sentry investing in TracingChannel so we can eliminate monkey-patches. ๐ŸŽ‰

Sentry@sentry.io

We've been monkey-patching JS libraries for observability for too long now. It's fragile, ESM-breaking, and runtime-locked. So we started adding TracingChannel support upstream in 44 libraries ๐Ÿ‘€ Check out our latest blog post to see how and why: blog.sentry.io/fixing-javascript-observability/

First release of the Linux app is out. github.com/Sequins-dev/... Still more work I want to do with it, but the core features are all there. Give it a try, and let me know what you think! ๐Ÿ™‚

What features for sequins.dev should I work on this weekend? A Linux app, maybe? What do folks think a local-first Observability platform needs?

I recently released sequins.dev, to have all the Observability signals you expect like logs, metrics, traces, and profiles, but as a macOS app which you can use for local dev. It's also completely free and open source. Give it a try, and let me know if there's any features you want!

Seems to me like โ€œpostsโ€ is more a higher ranking taxonomic classification which groups โ€œbleetsโ€ and โ€œskeetsโ€ together, each describing more nuanced varieties of post. Further research is required to clarify what makes a post a bleet or a skeet. ๐Ÿค”
