Thought I made out buying groceries at a supermarket trying to control those prices increases for its working class clientele. Got home with food of very poor quality and no taste. When talking about the high cost of living no one mentioned the concomitant steep decline in quality and taste.

We end up presented with two portraits: Wiley’s, which is dope, and a textbook-perfect picture of white fragility.

“[A State Department official called the painting] ‘very woke’ and ‘aesthetically terrifying.’” The painting:

if americans couldn't eat a burger under a democratic president, you would not hear the end of of it for prob 100 years

Yes you can, America!

On this date in 1789, a mob advanced on the Bastille in Paris, demanding the arms and munitions stored there. When the guards resisted, the crowd captured the prison, an act that symbolized the end of the ancien régime. The Origins of Bastille Day - JSTOR Daily share.google/he7GJJOKjDqE...

What planet are you on? Starting with Reagan on down, Republican presidents have always been granted powers that Democratic presidents absolutely haven't. I don't know who decides these things (it's not the people!)--whether corporate masters or not--but look at US politics for the last 40+ years.

SCOTUS has made it easier for Trump to remake the government in his image for now. But they’ve done just as much to make it easier for a Democratic president to blot out that image once he’s gone. Morning Shots from @eggerdc.bsky.social and @jimswift.bsky.social: lnk.thebulwark.com/4v1qiTZ

Carney sniffling a laugh, the others not even bothering to hide their bemusement at this sad, sad man as the U.S. empire slowly and surely falls. 250 years. We had a decent run, I guess. What a disgrace he is.

No more mean girl energy! We’re done tearing each other down. Done competing over crumbs. Done mistaking cruelty for strength. There’s nothing powerful about being unkind! Lift each other. Protect each other. Celebrate each other. Be that woman & watch how everything changes. #SheShed

Like banning Jackie Robinson's biography from the Naval Academy library. A fellow Republican. Guess it's as idiotic to call the present day GOP republicans as it is to call them conservatives seeing they're neither.

ICE murdered Renée Good in broad daylight. Less than 3 weeks later, they killed Alex Pretti, shooting him 10 times. Every day, we watch as people are ripped from their cars, their homes, their lives. We can't allow ourselves to look away from this cruelty. Abolish ICE.

Mamdani: "I am in support of abolishing ICE. What we see is an entity that has no interest in fulfilling its stated reason to exist. We're seeing a government agency that is supposed to be enforcing some kind of immigration law, but instead what it's doing is terrorizing people."

Once we decided corporations were persons & personal rights and freedoms equaled how much $$ you have there's been no end to this madness. We're now governed by anti-human near-trillionaires obsessed, like the friendless little boys they are, with space and driverless cars.
