Josh Turek of Iowa, Democrat, comes out with one of the worst anti-trans ads yet. Not only is it an anti-sports ad, it proposes a ban on federal funding for gender affirming care. That would hit all medicaid and medicare patients, and any ACA federally-subsidized plans as well. Horrific.

This is literally the end of the rule of law. If a President can pardon people committing crimes on his behalf - and the Supreme Court says he himself can't be prosecuted for crimes committed as part of his job - then the government becomes a lawless entity able to violate our rights without limit.

The intersection of virtually unrestricted cash gifts to the executive, an unrestricted executive pardon power, and a Congress unable or unwilling to utilize the impeachment power is virtually fatal to democracy.

We ended up recording the threat. Trump said he could still go after the Clintons and Obama “criminally.” Then: “probably not. But I think if they impeach me again.” That condition is why we recorded it.
