If you can tell Mabari from Minbari, (or care enough to respect that I care) you're my kind of people.

The real mystery in every mystery show is this: Why does the unknowable force that brought these people here never bring two people with the same first name? I mean, come on! Not even two Johns?

Okay, I'll come out and say it: Minotaurs in #ttrpg are usually given skills in navigating labyrinths. But: Not only did a human leave the labyrinth while the Minotaur was in there for years, labyrinths aren't even supposed to confuse you, those are mazes. Minotaurs are worse in orientation.

#funfact: When someone tells you the world is just a lie and the true world is beyond this pale facade and next time you meet they will tell you everything and then they can't be contacted ever again, that is called Ghosticism.

If a #vampire wears a suit and carries a gun, they disappear in the mirror, right? I wonder if there is a #ttrpg application to letting something disappear by just handing it to the vampire.

So, also es ist so: Wenn ihr Actual Plays und abgefahrene Scheiße mögt, kann ich die Reihe "Old One 1" von @orkenspaltertv.bsky.social absolut empfehlen. Es ist ein bisschen das Polyamorie-Klon-Kind von Everything Everywhere All At Once, Deep Space Nine, The Stanley Parable und Cthulhu.

THIS IS NOT TRUE. No part is true, beyond Helen Hunt's Oscar. We HAVE her Oscar acceptance speech. No such thanks. You don't get any money for winning an Oscar. No record of a Miss Eleanor. But truth doesn't matter anymore. Thousands of people click drivel, selling their attention. We're fucked.

From all the #callofcthulhu actual plays that I have listened to, I know what would be my character if I were to play once again: A pyrotechnician. Or a motivated layman (aka pyromaniac / arsonist). Seriously, most of them end in arson. Might as well prepare.

So... my 2 cents: I don't want a #firefly revival. I would take a new show set in the 'verse, but I think the show had its time and to revive it after 25 years might result in cringe. I WOULD take a show where a young crew stumbles upon members of the old from time to time.

Increasingly this feels like a foundational text of the 21st century.

huffpost.comI Don't Know How To Explain To You That You Should Care About Other PeopleOur disagreement is not merely political, but a fundamental divide on what it means to live in a society.

But like how do we even fight back against trolls whose only defining ethos is a joy of making us mad and appalled, and who currently have unlimited power to carry out maddening and appalling actions?

2025 and 2026 already have something in common: I love #ttrpgs and I'll still love them next year! 😁 If you share the feeling, re-quote and tell us the three games that affected your 2025 the most. Here's mine: 1. Arcadia (made myself) 2. Werewolf the Apocalypse 3. Savage Worlds

Introduce yourself in five #ttrpg classes - Anointed of Firun (The Dark Eye) - Shaman (Shadowrun) - Mokolé (World of Darkness) - Leech (Blades in the Dark) - basically everything that challenges the premise of a given class

#ttrpg idea: In a world where every object has a spirit, what's a caltrop like? Is it like a dog, bravely covering its lord's retreat? Is it sadistic? Does it despise being left behind and having to hurt people?

I just watched No Way Home. Funnily, I might have liked it if it weren't made after Into the Spiderverse. Now it kinda feels like a cheap shot, plus I have seen The Day of The Doctor. It feels like this without there being a show around it. Well, not much of a show.

Weird #ttrpg idea: Werwolf bites turn people. So in a near-future war soldiers load werewolf teeth into long-range rifles to turn enemy soldiers who then frenzy, breaking formation, morale and people. In case you didn't notice: That's metal af!!!

So... Imagining what a fight scene would look like utilizing the items before you in the supermarket... Like when you see they stock walking canes or something like that. That's normal, right? Everyone does that, right? RIGHT?
