I know there are people who worked on Mass Effect here (admittedly fewer than on Twitter back then😭), and regardless of what your specific role was—thank you, friends. It was a long time ago, but it left a lasting mark on us. 😎

Mass Effect was my ultimate white whale, my all-time dream project. For the last couple years I'd been in discussion w/ BioWare & EA to take on the project & as part of that I wrote close to 20 minutes of music to explore where the franchise can go next, may as well share it!

Hot take but I don't actually care? Colors have to change and bend based on what's around them to look the same. Go colour pick from any of the ancient greats and you'll find greens in skin tone shading. I just want a basic pallet on the side or something. Idc if it's shaded.

Printing with cheap PETG is so much more tolerable than printing with cheap PLA. It warps less, is easier to post process, generally stronger. I need to use it more.

Kala Paint is out! I'm @olawson.bsky.social , professional artist for 15 years, then game dev, now wrote the painting software I wish I'd been using all this time. GPU-run creamy brushes, no subscription, no gen AI crap, hand-coded with ideas from artists in our Discord, and more added weekly!

With the VRChat feedback form on AI use being up now I wanted to clarify my own stance regarding it. Short version: Machine Learning good; GenAI bad. Machine Learning, scripting and algorithmic tools are things we’ve used for years to make tasks like programming easier and more reliable.
