I am really surprised at how bad the video streaming is though. It's a night and day difference going between Virtual Desktop on a Quest and Steam Link on the Frame. Hopefully they'll sort that out soon, or maybe there's some magic setting I haven't found yet.

Latency felt about the same too, but social VR games aren't a good test for that.

- Lenses are pretty good. I need to side-by-side them with a Q3 to really tell the difference. FOV is wider so the pixel density is slightly worse, but not by much Some of these things can definitely be fixed in software later. Kinda slightly disappointed at the moment though.

- Controllers drift when not in view quite rapidly - Interface needs more work ... got stuck several times with overlays not responding to input. - No headphone jack. Seriously annoying when the onboard speakers are kinda meh. - Microphones are noticeably worse than Index's.

Question for car folk: I've got peeling clear coat on the roof of my car. I'd like to take care of it before a big trip coming up. My general plan was to hit it with a combination of a rotary sander and wet sandpaper, and then once everything is smooth I hit it with 2k clear coat. Thoughts?

This is what I've seen in YT videos, but I am terrified of burning through the paint. I know that the exposed paint will probably end up being a touch spotchy, especially this blue color, but as long as it's not as noticeable it's probably fine?

Also for completeness: The club feathers were also entirely in vertex shader, more nonsense of mine. None of this code is actually that complicated. It's mostly just distortions and noise cubes.

The logo construction animation is also my code. It's another gpu particle system. Way fewer screenshots of that. I wrote entirely too many gpu particle systems for Somna.
