When you’re trying to get a cute picture of you cat begging for bacon, and instead record the moment of impact on a decent puncture wound

Looks like they're bleeding the old man out while giving him a transfusion from his young clone, replacing the blood. This is not far-fetched. Right now a lot of older wealthy folks are paying for blood transfusions from young people for the purported health benefits.

always fun inventing background weirdoes for illustrations like this

i had to make the soft lotharks a little more "bat" and a little less "fraggle", for my own edification - apologies

Perhaps the most magnificent element of watching a 1982 bbc miniseries is the actual time capsule magic of seeing media made a mere six years before my own birth

My own age now established, I continue my journey into becoming my own father by watching the “smileys people” miniseries on YouTube. Слава шпионам!

I was in some denial about my own approach to middle age- then I looked to my second screen whilst working and found myself staring down episode 3 of sharpes rifles, and there was no argument left to make

This is from "the Kellerite", a part of the larger NIGHTSOIL comic im chipping away at, over the years, on my patreon - which you can find in the next post. A tale of a whole colony of clones of the same man, fighting for survival on a hostile world... 1/2

Maybe my fav comic we've made with @simonroy.bsky.social

an absolutely marvelous bit of coloring from @thenazavr.bsky.social - some developmental work for a future comic ill draw, one day

Seems like my profile for the last years is an exoskeletons, robots, mechs, spacesuits and a lot of blasts (if there's a people who is familiar with my early carreer -- that's the place where i was born). Unfortunately it's all still under NDA. But this Habitat (@simonroy.bsky.social) piece isn't!

Bumping this sassy pussycat goon for my man @phixsystems.bsky.social (a sentence that truly feels like it’s from the far future)

Closing in on 24 hours left to back my dream edition of my dream game, which I hoped to deliver with artwork by world-class cartoonists like @simonroy.bsky.social , @milonogiannis.com and Steven De Waele. I'll be direct with you: It hasn't funded yet. It won't, unless a lot more people back it.

The Great Tolkien Reread meets "The Uruk-Hai", our first close-up view of Orcs (and our first Merry and Pippin POV chapter). This is an opportunity to talk about how Tolkien humanizes his most problematic invention, and where he stops short. wrongquestions.blogspot.com/2026/10/the-...

Big news- after 24+ hours constipated with a little piece of grass sticking out of her bum, my poor little cat has pooped! The towering spectre of incredible vet bills and feline suffering has been vanquished!!

One author of similar impact for me was rosemary sutcliffe- her Bronze Age boys adventure “warrior scarlet” exploded my brain, and I’ve still to read anything else by her! I can only imagine her Roman era books rule as well

Books unearthed whilst moving - ellis peters wrote some absolute bangers of medieval detective work that were a huge comfort and joy to me over the past two years (I found three in a thrift shop while on a road trip and I would gladly devour all the rest should I find em)

Books unearthed whilst moving - this is a marvellous surreal piece of posthuman action adventure, a society of immortal Hindu inspired space colonists who eventually ascent to godhood. It gets a bit too superhero at the end, but most of this book fucking whips
