I used to be some things. Unsure of what I've become. StPD, not stupid

Voted early and dropped it off in a ballot box instead of just mailing it, because the entire state of WA is paranoid.

It's wild getting info from progressive voting blocs about all of the possible shenanigans. We're all a bit tense.

We started watching Reacher. Few thoughts: It's as good as people say. I really agree with the Autism diagnosis. It's fun to yell out "OH you're gonna get Reacher'd!" when someone steps to him.

Yay. Did Financial Aid stuff at the school without looking like an idiot. Then I fell on the concrete on the way back to my car, looking like an idiot.

Oh gparted... you're the best of friends. Moving that /boot partition without any pain.

So it's been about a month or more using CachyOS Linux and it really handles everything I need without pain. Lots of aspects are better than Win11. Only odd thing is just how often upgrades suggest a reboot, but that's so fast it's not a problem.

With great bravery and humilityI will admit that in all my years of systems work I've never really gotten a firm hand on the top command. I've only really used it to check if something is messed up, but I've never really used the command at it's full strength.

Like it doesn’t matter if AI doom is real or not. If you believe it and are nevertheless joyfully employed by open AI, that makes u a danger to the community

Part of working with a broken system is that it's not crazy to try something for the 14th time. It'll be different this time. Not sure if it will work, but it will be different.

The schizotypals have been agitated this week. Not much can be done and I think it's good for folks to get that energy out and in front. But I realized I've been waiting for the other shoe to drop and that's no fun.

So after 10 months my SSDI application got denied. Anyone know a good lawyer in the Seattle area that works in that field?

I watch a lot of LoL, specifically the korean league. And boy, do I never get tired of Faker 'briar rabbiting' his way through a game. He walks open and goes: "I sure do hope the entire team doesn't come to kill me" Then either he goes off or the enemy spends 4/5 people to get him.

It's great because he's been player of the game in sets where he was 0 kills and 10 deaths because they spent so much mental energy on this one lil' guy (who is the best player of all time). Rest of his team just ignores it and takes the map over because it's free now. So silly to watch.

But the vast majority of people are dressed like they're going to a goth club or other gothy event.

Of course the Nier YoRHa concert had plot. Of course it's now required viewing just like the stage plays and the mobile game and the anime and the FFXIV Raid.

With PC components skyrocketing, consoles going up in price, and the steam machine opening cost... Is a Switch 1 (Used) the gaming machine of the summer?

I dislike that there's a magic pill that burns my blood then makes me feel like life is worth living, but if I take daily I'll experience terrible long-term effects. Something that stops the terrible pain in my head, but will cause worse pain if I fall down that hole.

Like what if your doc gave you heart medication but said you need to get used to a bit of heart pain. If you stopped having heart pain every day then your heart would explode.

Skipping family meet up because of stress from the disorder. Father was very kind and reassuring. He said he'd talk to everyone for me. I wish my mind wasn't like this but it's good to have the support.

WELCOME TO WASHINGTON, SOCCER FANS. Get acquainted with our state via this highly accurate and mostly-to-scale map.

There is a certain forbidden technique called being able to profess: "Oh yeah, that's a good song/game/film but I personally don't like it." You can think something has artistic merit without basing your philosophy around loving/hating it.

hey did you know making a vehicular action game where you're kind of playing a second game at the bottom of the screen is not Normal yes? that was just me? ...anyway, here's what we're doing in Truck-kun is Supporting Me From Another World

I'm apparently a big enough hater to get blocked by someone on .bsky.team

hello to everyone else included in the "anti-ai ai haters" blocklist the technical advisor of bluesky just followed 🫡 it's an honor just to be nominated

Thing is, both of you were correct. It was something you should have been allowed to try and something that exists now. But also it is in fact, 'fucking stupid' like he said.

I love watching theorycrafting videos about larger media projects. But I really wish more of them would at least entertain the most obvious solution to so many plot holes: What if they're bad writers?

"But John Halo wouldn't say or do that, so it must mean..." James F. Warcraft is not a real person with a real soul, it's a creation of (multiple) writers. They /would/ do 'that' because they were written to do that.

It's really bad when people start writing better versions of the story with 5 layers deep of intrigue and lies instead of just handwaving that Jordan Starwarsian was written to say something very incorrect.

Not even terrible writers. But multiple people involved, or a few rewrites deep. Maybe a point was important before and they changed it but forgot to to change the downstream references.

Oddly enough, blue (raspberry?) mountain dew completely nullified the pain. My brother and his friends used to take random shots where one was water, one was everclear and the rest were vodka and you had to guess who got what.

How tf were y'all drinking Everclear???
