The easiest way to try Kotlin isn’t rewriting your Java app – it’s writing tests. Drop a Kotlin test next to your JUnit/Mockito setup and you’ll immediately see the difference: less noise, more clarity, same JVM. ➡️ Learn more in the Kotlin Adoption Guide: https://jb.gg/kotlin-guide

An interesting finding from a JetBrains Research study: Kotlin projects appear to maintain development velocity better as codebases grow over time. Readable code, safer APIs, and fewer edge cases compound as backend systems evolve. Learn more 👇 https://kotl.in/r03l60

So yesterday’s coderetreat was great, our participants learned quite a lot. Some of them still had energy after it was over to implement game of life in a mob. The crowd reminded me how much I got out of these at a previous part of my journey as a coder, so I’m happy I can pay it forward. #craft

1/ Experiments are useful to learn what's possible, to discover your blind spots, to generate optionality (aka the availability of options even when you don't need them), and to allow innovation. Without experimentation for the sake of discovery, there's no science, art, philosophy.
