Bolsonaro's loss is not just a loss for Bolsonaro. It's a loss for Trump. For Musk. For Milei. For Netanyahu. For Farage. For Meta and Zuckerberg. For the meat barons, the fossil fuel corporations, and the rest of the neocolonial looters. And it is a massive win for humanity and the living planet.

Among many other issues, Miatta Fahnbulleh's constituency, Peckham, is home to thousands and thousands of people of Nigerian origin. Shell is synonymous with human rights abuses and environmental devastation in Nigeria. This is an insult.

This is horrific. And unsurprisingly the work of a "conservative" multimillionaire. Other adjectives might include creepy, prurient, dictatorial and abusive, not to mention, of course, transphobic. Sure, we should, if we can (many cannot). But as I keep pointing out, the government itself is making no provision at all. No stockpiles, no back-up, no alternative sources. It's individuating the response to a collective problem, and that never ends well. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

This is what Burnham was too dishonest to announce before the Holborn & St Pancras byelection. The centrist drones in mainstream media saying the Green Party should focus on “Green issues” - as if they are separate from everything else - are now going to criticise us for focusing on Green Issues.

BBC News is a good example of big cuts still to come. Today, it has told staff of 100 more job losses, saving £5.5m. That's on top of previous cuts of £25m and £1.8m. But it has to get to a total of £51m in cuts - so still plenty to come next year.
