This is a historic moment: the first time the rights of Nature have entered the UK parliamentary process. The Bill recognises Nature as a legal subject, reorders the hierarchy of rights, creates a duty of care towards Nature and embeds Nature’s rights into UK decision-making across all sectors.

As the cost-of-living crisis pushes households to the brink and climate breakdown places further stress on public services, only the Green Party are pushing for genuine action at the Budget this week.

For 25 years, @greenparty.org.uk has been campaigning for car-free zones, cleaner air, and safer neighbourhoods for Londoners. Now in 2026, Labour is finally getting on board with major pedestrianisation projects. #OxfordStreet #LondonGreens #Pedestrianisation #CarFree

While in Serbia, a student-led protest movement has ousted the far-right Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), who had held power for 14 years. Vučić's authoritarianism and Putin-backed government has been successfully ejected by young people in Serbia.

This is what happens when ordinary people actually stand up and organise. We're seeing a massive generational shift globally. Around the world young people are voting to protect their own future, and they're winning.

We need to support British nurseries and helping communities to grow more trees themselves. And set targets for tree SURVIVAL, not just planting. I’m putting down written questions to the government to demand answers.

It will take 119 yrs to get the social housing we need at the current building rate. And the funding for councils to buy homes is far, far too little. Sign my petition for a massive new Buy the Supply fund, to buy as well as build homes, to help fix this FAST! you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/fu...

Wild new story from @natlash.bsky.social Bird flu has been raging uncontrolled on a mink farm for two months. Flu experts fear it could spark a devastating human pandemic. But officials haven’t acted, instead prioritizing the financial interests of the fur trade. www.propublica.org/article/bird...

Technology doesn't control society, humans do. Powerful voices are pushing AI into every corner of our lives, from classrooms to jobs. But despite what they say, AI is not inevitable. It is a political choice and we can choose a different future. #TechEthics #SystemChange #YouthVoices

We're building a toxic digital environment because we're failing to fund a healthy physical society. It's time to listen to the youth, 'Nothing about us without us'. How can we better involve young people in the decisions that shape their digital and physical futures? Comment below.

Reminder of #OneHealth reality - environmental, human and animal health are interrelated, and all terrible on these nature-depleted isles, with #biodiversity in an awful state

We are in a climate emergency & yet the government just approved Jackdaw. As Green MPs, we've tabled an Early Day Motion calling on the Government to keep fossil fuels in the ground (including Rosebank) and to focus on things that would actually lower bills & create secure jobs.

When the Home Secretary’s asylum proposals come back to the House I think many Labour MPs, not just those with refugee experience, will find it hard to stomach this Bill as it stands.

True food security starts with supporting British farmers, not engineering our food. To build a healthy, sustainable food system we must back our growers and embrace a truly agroecological approach. #BackBritishFarmers #Agroecology #UKPolitics

The govt itself has admitted Jackdaw won't bring down energy bills or create many jobs. So I asked the PM: does Labour disagree with the overwhelming scientific consensus that fossil fuels must stay in the ground? Or was lobbying from the oil and gas lobby simply too difficult to ignore?

Residents fought for years to save the Cressingham Gardens and Central Hill estates, and now, thanks to them, they're saved from demolition. Now, Lambeth Council can focus on bringing those homes back into use.
