Prince Maurice's grave is interesting, because it was a good example of the conflicting thoughts families had. Princess Beatrice refused repatriation of the body. She felt he belonged with his men. Imagine a world where we are no longer dependent on oil and nuclear energy. It's coming and it's better and that's why the vested interests are doing everything in their power to stop it

Solar has overtaken nuclear. A decade ago it supplied 1% of the world's power. In 2025 it met three quarters of global demand growth. Almost nobody saw it coming. I spoke to Jocelyn Timperley at BBC Future about why. www.bbc.co.uk/future/artic...

Oh boy, are the Right excited by this graph recently published by The Economist! And of course none of them has bothered to read the article itself (TBF, it is behind a paywall!). So as always, let's add a little context and explain why these kinds of comparisons are so problematic 🧵1/25

Oh My life! The BBC having the brass neck to say "the public" might re-think their attitudes towards Meghan Markle! I'm certain the majority of the ill-will towards her was manufactured by our right wing media along with the BBC. Most of us said 'leave them alone!' www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

If the BBC was true to its charter of impartiality then this article alone should result in the removal of this person from all political shows, after all a football pundit was removed for his political beliefs.

🧵 Wow - this article is bordering on unhinged! Apparently the BBC is akin to a “North Korean re-education camp” for teaching children about net-zero and covering both the pros AND cons of immigration Join me for a masterclass in cherry-picking and context stripping to brainwash your own readers👍🏻

I’m not a political journalist, so was gladly surprised at the community I found here last night. To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Don’t share rage bait. Amplify your people. 'As it spread—first to Western Europe and the United States—it also left a much wider mark on the world.' In fairness, this TBI assessment is only 30-40 years out of date. So it's not at all a problem if it informs government industrial policy today.
