If you follow me for the photos and ATproto stuff, mute/unfollow/block me for a while. I will be posting a lot about Indian politics. We're witnessing a real dissent against a tyrannical, authoritarian regime happening in my lifetime. This feels real!

Big news: this is a sheep account now! Just kidding, we will resume the regular, mostly bird inspired, content soon. But right now, I find sheep pretty neat! This one is also from Lundy 🇬🇧. I love how happy it looks. #EastCoastKin #photography #animals

Not sure, why they would say falls short by 98%, instead of what a big failure this decade long attempt was... and this is after the govt keeps changing definition of what a forest is, so they can sell off lands to A1A2 or anyone else...

The increase in forest cover is also due to changes in the definitions and is not visible on the ground.

the migration has caused a bug in post scheduling. Apologies to everyone who had scheduled posts and didn't trigger after the updates. I have deployed a fix, but it won't fix the already failed posts. Please log in again to reschedule the posts. Sorry about that 🥹 @c-elegans.eurosky.social

Zeens@zeens.app

Everything will work as usual after migration. Your PDS records with photosky markers will be migrated to Zeens markers and related lexicons. If you don't log in, your old records will continue to show photosky.

On a related note, there is an update to the feature. a full block list of gambling/excessive data-collecting websites. You know, those ones.. ;)

Adding my two cents: @zeens.app always had profile links section from the beginning. The way we are dealing with NSFW links is by detecting and blurring the link with an NSFW tag. It also respects the user's content viewing preference and hides or blurs the link.

I fully support blocking url shorteners. It can be easily misused to add links to harmful and gambling websites.

But, I get the decision to not show certain platforms. Especially the way bsky implemented the link is prone to misuse. Instead of allowing users to add a label for the link, we show the site's name, favicon and the full url on hover.

The migration has started.

Zeens@zeens.app

We were using photosky lexicons earlier, which was retired as the brand name has moved to Zeens. All the photosky lexicons and references will be migrated to Zeens in a few hours. What to expect: You will be logged out. When you log back in, expect a message showing the status of the migration.
