Ignore the "robots" part of this, it's bullshit. What they're really intent on banning is cheap power inverters, the crucial component necessary to store and use solar energy from a battery. This is a giveaway to the oil industry, plain and simple.

The only surprising thing about this development is that it took Meta this long--it's been obvious that clean energy is not a priority there since Zuckerberg started gassing on last year about all the giant data centers he's going to build without mentioning what would power them.

I've realized as of April, #Apple decided #iOS #Developers can only submit apps to the #AppStore when built against #SDK for #iOS26 (and #iPadOS #tvOS at "26" versions). While many may have upgraded, this is the first time I can recall where Apple drew a line in the sand on earlier #iOS targets.
