October will be this year's conference month for me. I'm doing three presentations at two, hosting another one. I'll be starting with Containerkonferansen before heading to Bergen for BOSKonf, then meeting the community in Norway at Cloud Native Days Norway. True whirlwind barbarian style 😅

Platform Engineering is more than technology. It is strategic utilization of resources and people, building the foundational core of your business. #PlatformEngineering #CloudNativeAmbassador #MVPBuzz

PSA to IT decisionmakers: Digital sovereignty starts with open source. No locks, no gates, just freedom. Transparency and portability are the foundation of cloud native workloads, a key to owning your destiny. #DigitalSovereignty #OpenSource #FOSS

Cloud Native Days Norway just sent out another wave of speaker acceptance, and the agenda is starting to take shape. Come join us in beautiful Bergen on the 26th and 27th of October! #CloudNativeAmbassador #MVPBuzz #PowerOfSharing 2026.cloudnativedays.no

If your support bot answers an email with “this can only be solved by a human, would you like me to forward it to a human agent”… Well, that’s just bad support. #InsertLogicHere #WhyAreWeDoingThis

TypeScript 7 is out, and faster than ever! How? By moving over to use #Golang instead of #Javascript under the hood. It's mostly backwards compatible, but with a few caveats. Take a look at the video posted by Microsoft and see the improvements running live. youtu.be/OytpXXeNmTQ?...

One after the other 🎉 I can keep calling myself a Microsoft MVP for at least another year. This is my sixth year now and this time I truly thought that I would not make the cut. Sometimes it is good to be wrong 😅 Thanks to Sopra Steria for letting me run around and share knowledge. #MVPBuzz

Happy to share that I have been fortunate to be reelected as #CloudNativeAmbassador. Glad to be continuing my work supporting the Cloud Native community and the CNCF.

Hey network! Any Cloud Native or Platform Engineering conferences I should look out for in 2027? This year's list of conferences is getting heavy, but I prefer to be one step ahead 😉 #PlatformEngineering #CloudNative #Conferences #CloudNativeAmbassador #MVPBuzz

I spent last week at #CNSMunich and had the chance to hang out with the German community. Many great conversations, good people, and a well-organized conference! I even got the chance to meet some of my German colleagues at the Sopra Steria Munich offices. Looking forward to the next one!

OSS maintainers who give you software for free are allowed to use any tool they want (and generally run things the way they prefer); unless you're literally paying their salaries, you don't get a say in the matter.

I’m a chair-person, but please don’t sit on me without asking for permission. Thank you! #CommuteThoughts

It's April 2026, and I am here to remind you that Platform Engineering is not a replacement for DevOps. This was true when we started using the term, and it will continue to be true. Thank you. #CommuteThoughs #ThoughtFellowship

If you are at #KubeConEU today, make sure to stop by the Platform Engineering Technical Community Group in the project pavilion. Very close by the sticker wall 😎

Another internal conference, but this time it is open for friends. This concept is really cool: one conference hosted at all our locations in Norway at the same time. I will be speaking in Oslo about how to get the most out of your terminal and start living a text-based life. Wanna nerd with me? 🤓

This year's #KubeConEU will be a hectic one. Rejects on Saturday, Maintainer Summit on Sunday, Platform Engineering day (and more) on Monday, and then the conference starts. Combined with after-parties, visiting partners, and networking? It might be the most hectic week in 2026.

But still, if you want to meet up to discuss #cloudnative and #platformengineering, just reach out and I will find the time for you.

I often manage to snag some good deals through Humblebundle, and now Packt has hooked us up with a great bundle for cloud professionals! So why not level up your knowledge while also supporting a good cause? #MVPBuzz #CloudNativeAmbassador www.humblebundle.com/books/cloud-...

As I’m currently focusing on everything OSPO, are there any talks or interviews that you feel that I need to watch/hear? I probably have it on my list, but there is so much and I would love to get some feedback on what to prioritize. #OSPO #OpenSource #OpenCulture #MVPBuzz #CloudNativeAmbassador

When people say things like “just focus”, as if ADHD is something one can just turn off. We can focus, but it requires much more energy than most others, and that energy quickly runs out. If the only tip you have is to “focus”, then you might as well not say anything.

I keep on trying to keep up to date with things, but I keep on forgetting to check certain websites and such. RSS has always made sense to me, but I haven’t really found a great way to consume them. Any suggestions on RSS readers or tools that I should check out?

I tried the @kagi.com small web feature for the first time, and on the third result I got a new post about the latest version of SuperTuxKart, and this just blew my mind. I totally forgot this thing even existed, and to find that it is under active development? Some things truly never change 😅

Complex solutions are often chosen over simpler ones, even when unnecessary. While complexity is sometimes needed, Complexity Bias can make us overlook easier paths. Reflect on your choices and choose less resistance when possible, recognizing multiple solutions exist.

Tomorrow, I will be hosting my first tabletop role-playing campaign as a game master. I have been thinking about doing this since I started with TT RPG about 20 years ago, and I guess it's about time I did something about it 🤓

The idea that if something does not work for you, then it must be wrong for everyone, baffles me. I have seen so many articles that claim they know best because their team did not succeed. There is a reason why the most uttered answer by a consultant is "it depends".

In Oslo, and want to have a Go(od) time? Well, then Go over to this page and join the next Go Oslo meetup! I promise that I won't be speaking at this event, so I won't have the chance of doing any more of those great jokes... 🤓 Thanks to reMarkable for hosting 🥳 www.meetup.com/go-oslo-user...

Someone needs to let Machine Head know that using Scandinavian letters is fucking hilarious for us non-American. I'm looking forward to seeing them live again, but I am more looking forward to hearing everyone at tons of Rock talk about the newest albums while pronouncing all the Ø's in Norwegian.

Why is it that no browser is perfect? Every time I try a new one, there always has to be something that is less than stellar. What browsers are people using these days?

Next up in my "ergo everything" journey, the Logitech MX Ergo S Advanced. While it doesn't seem to have that much tenting, it does actually feel pretty good over time. Not that easy to get used to moving the mouse with only the thumb, but give me a couple of days 😅

I want to start writing articles again. The reason why I stopped was because the easiest things to write, solving technical issues, are boring as hell for me. It's helpful for people, but it doesn't do it for me. I want to write thoughtful articles, but I struggle to finishing them. 1/3

This is why I have been meaning to do videos. Talking comes more naturally to me, but if I am going to that, it requires me to sit down and do it. That is why I love being a guest on webinars and podcasts - just show up and talk. That is something that I can do 🤓 2/3

In light of that, anyone that does a #podcast or #webinars on #cloudnative that want someone to just show up and give them free content? 😅 3/3
