The first genuinely honest ad for generative AI I've ever seen, from Microsoft / CoPilot A mediocre white guy sees his non-white colleague getting praised for good work, he asks AI to *literally copy it*, and then he gets all the praise instead: www.ispot.tv/ad/SoDi/micr...

A glaring example here of “if we forever block change for the better to prop up a system people dislike, then guess what kind of change we will get instead”.

So inured am I to historical BBC noncery that I nearly uttered some cursed words there, so I shall proffer an alternative: Are you able to determine, through recognition and extrapolation, the nature of the end result of this project?

Still a work in progress.

I mean, aside from the fact this is a fucking lie, isn't this just the American Dream manifest? This man is describing the elite capitalist class.

Stephen Miller claims Somali-Americans in Minnesota are "buying Mercedes, buying BMWs, they buy a nice house, all their kids fly first class all over the world" (This is a lie!)

Replying to @redtim.bsky.social

'Games workshop is bigger than UK fishing' is an exaggeration, but they still definitely qualify as a Big Deal in our economy. @praxiscast.bsky.social and @garethwatkins.bsky.social just covered this.

Podcasting is Praxis@praxiscast.bsky.social

🚨 Grimdark Episode Alert 🚨 @garethwatkins.bsky.social joins us to talk about the boltgun-shaped economy of Britain's last remaining Real Business: Games Workshop. Also the youth gets to work at Big Spoons and that's for sale at bargain prices! FREE: www.patreon.com/praxiscast/p...

The future of the UK is reliant on the immediate radicalisation of Henry Cavill.

Yeah, it's like someone (I think Hussein?) posted about how Games Workshop makes significantly more money for the economy than the fishing industry, yet no PM wants to pose with their new band of Ork Boyz when they could be eating a chippy tea and nodding sagely at a man in wellies instead.

I have taken on a silly amount of personal creative projects atm, and I'm knackered, my worktop is like a bomb site, I've spent... more money than I'd planned, my brain is running on full revs like an old outboard motor held together by duct tape and ADHD meds, but I'm actually really fucking happy.

Now if someone could pay me a reliable salary to make Tusken Raider masks, record weird fiction spoken word pieces and take photographs of decaying seaside towns I'd be sorted!!

Oh, I'm not even getting into the LLM/sentience discussion. Might as well ask if my Tamagotchi loves me or if the microwave sometimes thinks about that especially delicious-smelling macaroni cheese I reheated once. It's simply not worth considering. To even consider it for debate is insulting.

Look Die Hard is a good film, no question. But we should acknowledge the heartwarming ending is a cop recovering his bloodlust and finding it in his heart to kill again.

Fascinating to actually read some of the information from the report, and the way that the BBC then frames it.

A fascinating editorial decision from the BBC, to make the headline a scaremongering “AUTISM AND ADHD ARE BEING OVERDIAGNOSED”, and then, four bullet points later, have the author of the report quoted as essentially saying “nah, that’s bullshit, actually”.

What appears to be the only vaguely substantive piece of evidence to support the BBC's shrieking headline... Followed immediately by the begrudging acknowledgement that the report also states that the data the "true" level of autism is based on is out of date and conclusions can't be drawn from it.

Incredible then, that this is what the BBC leads the article with, rather than the far more pertinent information that people with neurodiversity and mental health conditions have been *massively* let down by successive governments, and that support and reform is vital. Funny, that.

Difficult not to conclude here that by front loading the idea of "labels harming prospects" the BBC wishes to strongly imply that it's *diagnosis* that is the cause of future difficulties faced by those with autism and ADHD, rather than the conditions themselves and lack of support.

So, let me get this clear. Labour's 17.6% drop in their majority is a "success for their progressive message", whereas Green's 22.4% increase in their vote share and jump from third place to second, almost toppling the incumbent party, is a failure which must be answered for?

Ironically, people claiming that the Greens are reaping the results of "Corbynist infiltration" aren't far off the mark, they just seem to have misunderstood what that means. Let's see what the effect of Corbynism has been on Holborn electorally, shall we?
