Robert Kraft — who's given millions to pro-Israel orgs like AIPAC — once got a $1M award from Netanyahu for helping stop people from boycotting Israel. "Israel does not have a more loyal friend than Robert Kraft," Netanyahu said. Now, Kraft helps kick Macklemore off Ed Sheeran's tour:

New: Macklemore says Robert Kraft — who owns Gillette Stadium, where Macklemore & Ed Sheeran were to perform later this month — called Sheeran. Kraft rallied other owners together behind an ultimatum for Sheeran: if Macklemore stays on the tour, you won't be allowed in our venues.

Three years ago tomorrow, I very nervously gave this speech. I knew my career as a TV journalist was dunzo, cooked, filleted, kaput the morning I wrote it. (Thanks to Kat insisting I go for it anyway.) The end is awfully prescient at this exact second, though. Big ups to Scott Pelley for fighting.

One would think the U.S. State Department would condemn a foreign nation for abducting and illegally detaining a U.S. journalist in international waters. One would be wrong. Instead, the U.S. government condemns the humanitarian flotilla while parroting Israeli talking points.

July 21 1935: The Führer orders a new reception hall and ballroom to "entertain foreign diplomats" at the Chancellery. Underneath the dance floor is an air raid shelter. A 2nd deeper bunker is built next to this in 1944, where he would spend his last days as the Reich collapsed.

Trump rants his ballroom will feature "Bomb Shelters, a State of the Art Hospital & Medical Facilities,Top Secret Military Installations, Protective Missile Resistant Steel, Drone Proof Ceilings, Military Grade Venting, & Bullet, Ballistic, & Blast Proof Glass" Dafuq kind of ballroom is this?

Israel continues to demolish the homes of more than 600,000 people in Lebanon, because Ethnic Cleansing and Genocide is what they do. Can you imagine the outrage if this was being done to Israel? But Israel does it. Complete SILENCE.

They oversaw a very important social media influence operation for the Kremlin, got caught, fled. And now they're not just back, they're guests at Donald & Melania Trump's Easter Egg Roll at the White House.

I used to write the WaPo editorials on US-Africa policy, as well on as human rights and politics on the continent. To describe hundreds of thousands of deaths on the continent as “messy” is an absolute abomination.

This is what trump does with everything he says he’s done. He takes what other presidents did, destroys it & when he puts it back he says it was all his idea. He’s done this his entire life. The republicans think their voters are so gullible that they’ll believe it when they tell them the same lie.

If we made the green energy transition this war would be unthinkable and these authoritarians wouldn’t be in power — not in the US, not in Iran, not in Saudi Arabia, not in Russia. Hydrocarbons are killing our freedom and just plain killing us.

I am pro Iranian people. I stand with them against their own government’s repression AND against the imperial violence in the form of bombs dropped from the sky from Israel & the US who have already killed hundreds. I support neither imperialism or dictatorship. Sahar Delijani said it best:

I urge you to fill in this consultation if you can - with this very helpful support from Amnesty International - although AND because ! it is heart-breaking that this country has sunk so low that Amnesty suggest in a number of cases to provide no answer as the terms of the question are so evil

A DAY FOR GAZA The Nation, as part of its ongoing commitment to cover Gaza, devotes its entire Feb. 3 website to writers, photographers, thinkers who are in or from Gaza. “Collectively, the pieces embody an enduring affirmation of Gaza’s refusal, in the face of the world’s neglect, to be erased.”

A reminder to the news media: “conflicting accounts” is what you say BEFORE the incontrovertible video evidence appears. After that, your job is to ask why one side is lying, not to repeat the lie and pretend no one knows the truth.
