The Poet's verses are curious... So indirectly and yet pointedly directed at Her, that Goddess. And yet held close, only shared where he knows She will never see. Perhaps, it is because he does not wish these thoughts on Her, lest he cause her pain. Perhaps, he is a coward.

I remember before, I thought I had plumbed the depths of pain. But oh gods those veins run deep. Twisting, forever descending, seemingly without end. Built from the sorrows of generations before and to come. 🤣 anyway, night! 😅🥲

Once more for the people in the back!

Free advice for 2026 federal candidates: Come out against criminal immigration enforcement. Dismantle the Department of Homeland Security. Civil matters like immigration should never be handled with arrests and detention. If someone commits a crime, police can handle any arrest. Abolish ICE.

When we explore what we thought were the depths of pain, we recalibrate and understand. Everything else shifts. We become more resilient than we were before. It is not a comfortable transformation but it is necessary.

Just finished watching a show where they made the obvious thing so obvious that you discounted it out of hand to wonder which convoluted scheme it was... But.. it wasn't any of them. It's a weird and cool feeling to second guess yourself at the end of that, like why did I discount it? That's art.

People overestimate # of fucks given by the 50+ crowd. Like, we're not looking to be martyrs.. but we have more to defend in terms of our legacies than we do in terms of the sum total of whatever measures our brief spans of existence on this rock. Plan accordingly. Or don't, at your fucking peril. 🤷‍♂️

Every cabinet member who gets impeached and removed makes it harder for Trump to recruit a replacement. Trump's already having people like Rubio take multiple roles because there aren't enough people who are willing to work for a lawless and corrupt administration. Make Trump defend Noem.

Can. And MUST

Saying there must be trials isn't just an emotive aspiration. Congress can: - Create a new court (complying w/ 6A jury vicinage) - Give it jurisdiction over defined category of crimes - Also create dedicated prosecutors for the same - Strip SCOTUS of appellate jurisdiction It can be done.

While you are asking for the Jeffrey Epstein files, ask what happened at Guantanamo Bay, Abu Garib, Bagram air base, and countless other official and unofficial US sites, and what is happening within the walls of the US corporate prisons Trump and ICE are sending men, women and children to.

If a politician can’t commit to abolishing ICE or not invading their neighbours then that person isn’t there to represent you, they’re there to occupy your spot in government while the regressives and fascists destroy what’s left of your country, terrorize your nation, and rob you blind.

The MAGA youth might get sent to Iran because Joe Rogan got them all worked up over 10 trans athletes across 50 states.

Being a fucking idiot has consequences. Unfortunately, they’re for everybody.

Laid-off IRS employee said he had voted for Trump: "I thought that someone with his business acumen would have come in with a fine-tooth comb and actually found it instead of coming in with a wrecking ball and destroying people’s lives for no reason." www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/p...

The irony here is that the same can be said of e.g., government. Think about why you do or did vote for a straight party ticket or refused to even ponder the idea of a so-called "third/minor" party candidate....

If you think only billionaires can control social media, You are absolutely wrong. Social media is completely dependent on its users. Think about why you do or did use FB, ThreadsTik tok or Twitter. It's because they have enough users. Take away all the "normies" and they all are worthless

Ok I fully 100% support opportunity for college athletes to get paid, but can we just not open the transfer portal until after bowls? It's like if the NFL started free agency the week the playoffs start, and I don't understand how nobody stopped and said "wait, you guys" 😅

I’m assuming Matt Gaetz disclosed his illegal drug use on his application to purchase firearms, right? If not, hear the Republicans think that’s a serious crime that deserves serious consequences.

Congratulations to Mike Johnson for trying to pressure the House Ethics Committee into burying a report that found the then-nominee for attorney general had engaged in sexual activity with a minor. Party of Family Values, am I right?

Haven't read the whole thing but had to go look at the dissent.. notably, did not dispute any findings, just hand wringing about what a dangerous precedent this sets. I'm sorry, if release of final report with detailed findings of wrongdoing is problematic, you prob should not be in Congress 🤷‍♂️

Archie@802indy.bsky.social

So with the release of the Gaetz report, both he and MTG will be releasing what they have on other Congress people right? Right? ethics.house.gov/wp-content/u...

I assume the dissent was on party lines.. and further assume my Democrat friends will believe that's because their shit don't stink.. But I'd place a healthy wager that they'd make the same argument if it was one of theirs. The two party system has led to unprecedented yet predictable corruption.
