Heads up, Twin Cities— CBP agent Timothy Donahue was photographed outside the Whipple building yesterday. In Chicago, he was documented aggressively detaining bystanders; also involved in at least one car crash. Most importantly, he also brandished his gun at a crowd in Evanston on 10/31.

In Minneapolis this afternoon— Hundreds are streaming across the snow and ice into Powderhorn Park for a rally and march demanding ICE leave Minnesota. It is bitterly cold. There are hardcore Midwesterners out here making their way in with trekking poles.

A woman recording an ICE agent tells him "Shame on you." The agent responds, "Have you all not learned from the past couple of days?" "Learned what?" she asks Then he knocks her phone out of her hand

That video is the opposite of exculpatory. My guess is they released that video now to ride the "She deserved it" bloodlust messaging and hope pre-biased perceptions attach to it, and because if they released it later it would look like they had been hiding damning evidence.

Not surprisingly, this sure as hell doesn't line up with the DHS statement. Not at all. They're trying to label this person getting her car out of the way a "domestic terrorist."

It's very clear from the commentary exploding on the timeline right now that hardly anyone outside Chicago knows ICE shot and killed a man in his car here in the fall. It's probably not your fault—too much news. But if you're choosing to jump in & *report* today, please contextualize. Thanks.
