ANNOUNCMENT TIME A new public build of PAX RODENTIA, a classical roguelike in which you play as a small field mouse, is now available on quiggy.itch.io. This represents six months of work and is a significant technological overhaul of the version I published in November.

this is my old team and yeah i totally get why they would've done this tl;dr elections work at google carries more risk per byte than any other thing the company does

Comfortably Boo@numb.comfortab.ly

oh my fucking god

we once calculated that if we failed to land a change in time to conform with french election law we would've bankrupted google, the company, in 17 hours

aside, i was talking about applying for a video game adjacent job with a friend, and confided that "i only really like rez and tetris" and said friend went "they're gamedevs, that's a perfectly good answer"

[whispering into the king's ear] They're saying you're cooked, milord. They're saying you "lack the sauce". This is just what I'm hearing.

BLUESKY DEMS: part of why Brazil managed to beat Bolsonaro is because they refused to engage with or repost his online content ALSO BLUESKY DEMS: check out this video of the latest Trump rally

ladies, is your programming - a field dominated by rich white men - driven by fashion trends - practiced as a demonstration of status - funded by vanity projects for failsons - filled with queers trying and failing to break even that's art, sorry

Nyek London@stupidhoroscope.bsky.social

I don’t know how people could say that programming and art are completely different disciplines when both workflows involve going ‘This will never work, I’m a failure’, changing one thing, then thinking you might be the smartest person alive

A player found something very very very hidden

to weigh in on the weekend discourse my parents are the most normie boomer americans you can imagine and i don't think they've been to a cheesecake factory in 15 years. it's all about smashburgers and woodfired pizzas now

i have almost as much malice in my heart for the designer of monster hunter scoutflies as i do the creator of starcraft injects

Dozens of blood alchemists in the Order of the Obsidian Skull have petitioned the shadowy cabal to stop the sale of its gorehounds to Lord Hellfang

there has never been a trans woman in the NWSL btw

Taylor Vincent@tayvincent6.bsky.social

Some hateful folks in the North End have their messaging blocked by flags and lead to a “Trans Lives Matter” chant

these people are protesting the idea of trans people, not anything that's actually happening. they have nothing but hate in their hearts.

if we're complaining about Mass Effect: it's fucked up that the guy who's in charge of all the Reapers is named Harbinger and the guy who's supposed to open the way for the other Reapers is named Sovereign

incredible that wireless controllers have been mainstream for twenty years now and only Meta has had the incredible innovation of "what if sometimes they just didn't connect to the console"

you can sometimes fix it by popping the battery out and putting it back in, and when that fails you can sometimes fix it by rebooting the headset, and when that fails you can simply sacrifice a goat and say a prayer to the dark lord because no one else is gonna be able to help you

an ad has appeared at my metro stop touting that polymarket has a 93% accuracy rate one month ahead of elections and i really want to know how that stacks up against other forms of electoral predictions that aren't based on fleecing people for money

"look at the Kalshi odds for this election" no. No thank you

like i would suspect that in the majority of elections it's very easy to know who's going to win. like i'll bet $1000 with any rando that janeese lewis-george wins the dc mayoral race, things of that nature

lmao fedex is currently claiming that by end of day a ground package will reach me. it's currently in manitoba. sure, jan
