It’s release day for my friend Brady’s new book! I enjoyed the first two Relic Meyers, and I look forward to seeing what unhinged nightmare he walks into this time.

i am inviting anyone from a legacy media organization to explain to me why the house judiciary dems report on trump’s epstein’s ties and multiple allegations of rape isn’t worthy of extensively reporting on. i’m serious. i want to understand.

Guillermo Del Toro dropping another one liner that’s exactly how I feel about AI slop, the “punishment” is built in

Yup, it’s really happening folks. I don’t have any details yet, but I will likely be involved in some way. www.ghostgalaxy.com/blogs/news/n...

2 WEEKS FROM TODAY: Vote in numbers too big to rig & make his prediction come true. #MakeAmericaNormalAgain

Kenney is right (obviously)

The best song I’ve heard all day!

since California ballots are now out: prop 40 is the billionaire tax, and you should vote yes to stick it to them but both props 41 and 42 are designed to retroactively cancel the billionaire tax because they’re afraid they can’t beat it at the ballot box yes on 40, no on 41 and 42

With The Monolith being fulfilled soon, it was only proper for it to get the Rodney Smith treatment! Check out the video and prepare yourself for carnage! #themonolith #plaidhatgames #watchitplayed

Unpub tickets are on sale now! If you want a playtesting table you have to put a "badge" in your cart and then get a "ticket" for the table time. www.unpub.org/upcoming-eve...

One of my students just launched their kickstarter preview page! It's not easy being a new game designer, so check it out, and give it a follow. 😊 www.kickstarter.com/projects/cur...

Ukrainian presidential advisor Serhiy Beskrestnov confirms Elon Musk's Space X crippled Ukrainian capabilities last night. In other words, the US deliberately sabotaged European defence operations mid-mission. Every country in the world should move away from buying American hardware ASAP.

I’m a few days late, but Alpha 0.5 is FINALLY off to testers. Now, the waiting begins… Just kidding. Tomorrow I start grinding out new features.

Just finished reading The Calamaties and WOW, what a great Halloween read. This might be my favorite Wendig book, which says a lot because Staircase in the Woods was fantastic. I eagerly await the sequel! @chuckwendig.bsky.social

It's not good for you. It's really not.

Wowzers, looks like I just crested 1,000 followers! Thank you! This make me think I should post more often… Once my game(s?) are announced, you’ll probably ask me to shut up. 🤐 🤣

Weeks before Election Day, the Trump administration is sending $500 checks to select Americans. Why that is less a policy win and more a voter bribery scheme is worth understanding. So is how Trump is turning the presidency into a corrupt family business. Two stories. One familiar Trumpian playbook.

Ummm... I just got a check from the government with some nonsense about how Biden and Healthcare.gov were a failure so here's some money. Oh, and be sure to vote for REDACTED (yeah right, not gonna happen). I feel weird cashing this bribe money. Maybe I should donate it to some political causes?

Phew! All features are complete for my next round of alpha testing! I've got a few small art things to do tomorrow, then 2 days of testing (and bug fixing) before sending it to testers. 🎊🎆🎊

The stock market makes it APPEAR that the economy is strong, but it’s all a house of cards. I predict that the AI bubble will burst in 3-4 years, and it will be blamed on the next US president, even though this is inevitable.

Truth

This review for The Mandalorian Adventures: Sworn to the Creed blew my mind. 🤯 We buried this context so deep that I didn’t think anyone would discover it.

I spent the last few weeks adding a new location to my videogame (let’s call it the “Casino”). The art and characters took the longest (plus the minigames), but it’s finally DONE. It turned out great, and I’m on track for next week’s big milestone.

We're hiring! We're looking for a Writer and Narrative Designer to join the Fallen London team at a senior or mid level. This position is permanent, remote, and full time, which for us means 35 hours a week. #GamesJobs

This. It has always been this. A sitting American president did this. And because he did this, he should have been convicted and put behind bars. And the fact that we never held him accountable for these crimes will forever stain this country. And we may never recover from it.👇

I just finished reading The Fires of December, and it was absolutely marvelous. My wife is reading it next, so I get the pleasure of vicariously experiencing it again through her. 😁

Broke out a few oldies for tonight’s gamenight. First off was Imperial Assault (which I haven’t played in 10+ years), then finished off the night with a classic game of Aquire.

It's official: The EPA has repealed a rule that would have directly saved thousands of lives by limiting fossil fuel emissions from power plants. Industry lobbyists successfully pushed for this repeal using surging demand from data centers as justification. The government chose AI over human lives.

In the last 30 minutes I received over 200 (and rising) texts to verify purchases that I most certainly did NOT make on my credit card. Luckily, the credit card company caught the first purchase and I locked my card so none of them went through. A headache, but it could have been so much worse!

Name a non-LOTR character who could resist the one ring. Mr. Bean. (But he would lose the ring 3 seconds later and then make a fake ring so the fellowship doesn’t find out.)

Videogame developers: when I see the word “roguelike” my excitement for your game drops by 90%.

A new 2D Metroid game?! I might finally need a Nintendo Switch 2. GIMME SOME METROID RAVENOUS youtu.be/nhPkGtVNH1Q?...

Elon Musk supported the rising neo-Nazi party in Germany. He’s the number one funder of Republicans in the midterms. He’s supporting fascist agitators in England. It’s long past time for anyone who supports democracy to leave his propaganda website. It’s time to boycott X.

I’ve seen some internet strangers talking about the book I published last year, calling it “shitty” and “fucking awful.” What surprised me the most is that these words didn’t sting. Maybe my book DID suck. *shrugs* You can only learn by trying, and you can only grow by doing.

RT if you’ve never had a tab of ChatGPT open, period. (And proud of it.)

Wooo-eee, my brain is fried. It’s been a busy week working on [secret project]. Most work has been refining weak moments or improving story details, so it’s slow going. The changes themselves seem small and insignificant, however these details are exactly what can bring a game from 4 stars to 5.

As a new Harry Potter trailer makes the rounds, it bears repeating that there’s no way to watch this show without supporting J.K. Rowling’s bigotry and the structural violence she’s inflicting on the trans community.

There are endless studies showing this and also the financial and societal benefits of universal basic income and or housing-first policies but the U.S. never goes for any of it because it would require allowing the poor to receive benefits that the rich consider “undeserved”
