August 28, another school year begins. This is my 16th year as a teacher in my field of expertise, and I'm past the middle point before my retirement. It's a weird feeling thinking there has been more time behind me than ahead in my career, but I'll manage🤣

Did a couple of NES carts using @mousebitelabs.bsky.social 's great PCBs. For some reason, I can't get FF3 to work. No music in opening text, menu appears fine but the selection pointer is all over the place and I can't move it. Can't get past character naming menu. No idea why, using real MMC3.

Made some new N64 cart spine labels for myself to replace the old ones I found on the net, which worked, but I didn't love the faded look. Printed on both holographic paper and regular white sticker paper. Gonna install the holographic ones, but the regular ones really pop too!

Quick test of the ExTinkIR I talked about a few weeks ago. PCB is good, works with 5 IR blasters, 2 serial connections. Tested with my @retrotink2 RT4k and extron crosspoint. Also switches my AVR. Webhost is coming along! It pushes the pi pico w hardware bad.😅 Youtube link t.co/VkwFjMZ3DU

#beatit2025 If you're a fan of the SNES Mega Man X games, and didn't care much for the PS2 games' direction, you have to try Mega Man X8 Demake. Controls are tight, music is awesome, great visuals. It's a hard game. The last bosses kicked my ass on many retries before I finally defeated them.

#beatit2025 I'm not gonna keep this rhythm up I swear, but I beat Mega Man X2. This is one of my favorite games. This copy is my childhood one, the very first game I bought with my own money. Looking at the price it goes for now, I'm happy I kept it🤣
