I am continually dumbfounded about why DC or the fed gov has not fixed this already. Working water fountains are the last unified frontier in politics. Every DC resident wants them. The little field trip kids in MAGA hats want them. Street vendors want them. K Street lobbyists want them

“If you’ve been a resident of D.C. you’ve walked past dozens of fountains that haven’t worked for decades,” says Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, noting the Trump administration is spending $120 million to fix federal fountains in the city as part of the country’s 250th anniversary.

The only thing that will change things on the ground in Minnesota is the total destruction of DHS. Pull the poison tree out by the root. Defund. Dismantle. Prosecute. This is the way.

Predicting that this week we’ll hear more conciliatory words from the Administration regarding Minnesota (since they’re starting to realize that ICE has become politically toxic) but everyone outside of Minnesota needs to know that nothing on the ground has changed.

So Harvard is keeping this guy, but Claudine Gay had to step down over ginned up plagiarism accusations and bad-faith accusations of anti-Semitism. Got it.

The Washington Post editorial board articles about Mamdani are actually disgusting. It’s hard to surprise me but my jaw dropped when they referred to him as “generalissimo” in the first paragraph.

Vlad Sr. was one of the most talented hitters of his generation. His teams made the postseason six times. He was a lineup centerpiece for all of them. But Vlad Jr. ended up with the bragging rights.

Shohei Ohtani tonight put on maybe the best performance in baseball history, and perhaps all of sports. Three home runs, no outs made, six shutout innings with 10 Ks, to go to the World Series. Transcendant.
