Just getting through The Slow Apocalypse™, like everyone else. Started life in a San Francisco commune in the height of the 60’s. Raised by social activists, beat poets, drag queens. Now just a boring web developer living with a husband & t̶w̶o̶ five cats.

My read of the Bible and New Testament—Biblical scholars can definitely set me straight if they like—is that while neither text tells devout Christians *exactly* what to do if a man only comes *close* to being the Antichrist, there's no fuzz on the fact that you *don't* do this:

You've seen the coordinated messages from MAGA influencers about that #Ballroom, right? But also how the MAGAverse carpets the world with almost identical messages. Well, Ashley St. Clair (ex-MAGA, ex-Musk) explains how they do it. Dems: take note. Video in 5 parts (link to TT: shorturl.at/EbtbK)

This is the music I grew up on. Love it!

We liberals were right about everything. We were right to scream Trump was in Putin's pocket We were right about sex predator Brett Kavanaugh. We were right about Covid and supporting vaccines. We were right about 1/6. We were right about guns and climate change. We're right about fascism.

Of course, if we’re talking about punishment, we need a trial to find the truth. But deciding who should represent us is where the court of public opinion is appropriate. As others have said, Swalwell is applying for a job, and what we have heard is enough to choose not to hire him.

This is exactly why Trump started this term by only appointing MAGA reality TV types, and fired as many career civil servants as he could (largely via DOGE). Also, that was explicitly written into Project 2025.

The sad truth is: "America can no longer be trusted to side with its democratic allies against authoritarian aggression, a realization that is slowly dawning on leaders around the world and which will have far-reaching implications in the years to come." www.newsweek.com/trump-has-be...

Of course. And that’s why Dems need to lean in and work towards dismantling ICE. First no funding. Impeach Noem. Demand hearings on ICE’s operation in MN. Demand that Miller resign. Don’t let up.

“An administration official gave away the game to Punchbowl News, admitting that these “de-escalatory measures” are about placating Senate Democrats so they don’t seize this moment to demand restrictions on ICE as part of any government funding package.” newrepublic.com/article/2057...

Watch the pattern: A killing. A narrative. A label that turns a citizen into an enemy. And suddenly, accountability becomes “propaganda,” and dissent becomes “extremism.” This is how democratic norms erode — one word at a time.

81 years ago, FDR proposed a second Bill of Rights to guarantee every American the right to employment, healthcare, education, housing, and a living income. His words are as relevant now as they were then. Watch.

Victor Cruz is an upstanding member of the Hillsboro community who never should have been detained by ICE. I’m grateful that his wrongful detention has come to an end and that he is reunited with his family. 🧵

The human misery and massive death toll that came from ending USAID was entirely predictable. Elon Musk relied on conspiracy nuts rather than employees and development specialists. Rubio, who previously defended the agency knew what would happen. They chose this. open.substack.com/pub/donmoyni...

The elimination of USAID was an unforgivable moral atrocity that should haunt Trump, Elon Musk and Marco Rubio for the rest of their days and beyond

I've given my new Senator a lot of shit on here. But I don't think anyone with power has laid out the stakes of what we're facing as clearly as she does right here. And if she's saying this, it's because she feels she must.
