Perfect.

Reform plan to bring back imperial measurements to help boost US trade, not realising that US imperial measurements are different from UK ones. So dense a black hole is empty space by comparison.

This is one where you can't really avoid cancelling the Nice Lady Walk, but the correct reason for cancelling it is that you have told the Nazis that their march is unequivocally banned and you are going full French riot cop on the ones who show up anyway

Police in Bristol said they asked organisers of a far-right protest in city centre to move it or reschedule, because the big Shine Night Walk big cancer charity 10K fundraising walk of 2,000 people - mainly women - was planned for Friday night. Police confirmed the group refused, so walk postponed.

You know what? Fuck it. If Rishi Sunak is willing to say the thing before any ostensibly progressive politician, he deserves the credit

Former PM Rishi Sunak in the Sunday Times challenges the rise of ethno-nationalism in British politics, as an argument within the right about Britishness being about ancestry, DNA and ethnicity www.thetimes.com/article/e89d...

8 years ago, I tweeted side-by-side maps from NASA GISS showing global temperatures in 1976 and 2018 – both hot summers in the UK. It subsequently went viral and was printed in the Daily Mail! The 2026 version is stark. Two locally extreme summers separated by 50 years of global climate change.

I'm generally happy to give someone like Burnham a bit of time to get things in order but I'm already pretty impatient for an explanation why an octogenarian holding a small protest placard gets a criminal record but 200 people dressed as paramilitaries blockading Dover can just get the train home.

The cats graciously put on a magic show for us last night. I figured out how they did most of the tricks, but I didn’t say anything, because that would have been rude.

“Why are gay men so afraid of…*insert PTSD symptom here*?” Trauma, emotional neglect from birth, aggressive cis policing of gender and aggressive policing of sexuality. It didn’t start with us born in a vacuum now did it

The Times will now presumably bully itself to suicide since that's what they deem an appropriate punishment for alleged plagiarism

As honoured as I am to see that The Times has picked up my Chagos article practically *word for word*, including my hard-gotten quotes, I’d prefer some credit — or for everyone to read my original FT piece! free link to read the evidently enviable article below (cheaper than a Times sub!) 🌴

Tim Curry's Home Alone 2 is about a concierge who's assaulted by two ever-neglectful parents for trying to stop their child's credit card fraud.

Just saying, the trans community told everyone that once The Guardian had successfully dragged trans rights into the mud they'd move on to the nuerodivergent. And they were right.

Cambridge University should have known better, Fleet Street should have known better, the people hungrily absorbing every bit of news about it, making newsrooms feel like they had to keep going with it as a story, should have known better, horrible horrible horrible

65 per cent of Britons are owner-occupiers. General elections are won in the Midlands. Most people have a middle class occupation. The United Kingdom's comparative advantage is in services. These aren't facts that Philip Gould invented in order to make Labour feel sad.

These 2 assholes decided it was a good idea to assault my partner and subject us both to transphobia. It happened in Castle Meadow, Norwich at around 16:55 and the next 15 minutes after they came back twice to subject us to transphobia and tell us to die in a river. . Make them famous.
