Can anyone please explain to me where the “Hawks“ aspect of Senator Schmitt‘s ridiculous face plant came from? His poster doesn’t say anything about “Hawks”, does it? All it seems to say is that Smith had tickets to go to some event.

This is exactly the stuff the press corps should have asked about at the president's presser and the WH briefing today when they cast criticism of him as violent rhetoric. The question did not come up once.

This, from the lawyer who successfully argued the tariff case before SCOTUS, casts huge doubt over the applicability of the statute the @POTUS is relying on to slap down a new 15 percent global tariff. His own lawyers dismissed it in their arguments to the court.

Yesterday, those who teach Intro to Sociology at Florida colleges (as opposed to universities) received a ready-made curriculum from the state and were ordered to teach it. Yes, you read that correctly. The *state* is enforcing a curriculum on college profs, complete w/ the following restrictions:

Utterly unacceptable in a democracy. In a sane world, House Republicans would be drafting impeachment articles today and Senate Republicans would be preparing for a trial to convict and remove him from office

I feel like I need to keep reminding everyone that Donald Trump first nominated a known child sex offender to be Attorney General because that's who he wanted handling the Epstein files.

It’s entirely legal to record LE officers from your car. So they’re brazenly, illegally terrorizing this woman for exercising her constitutional rights. Yet we know that none of these officers be held accountable. We know this administration encourages this behavior. This is police state stuff.

Masking is not about doxing. That is the excuse. They are wearing masks so people cannot identify agents who engage in abuses, civil rights violations, and crimes. You can’t report someone or hold them accountable in any way if you can’t identify them.

Right now, Democrats have the power to defund and abolish ICE. We should do it. This is about right and wrong—and the murder we are seeing on the streets is just plain wrong. Anyone who supports funding DHS and ICE is supporting the murder of Americans. We can stop this.

/3 3. The administration explicitly, repeatedly, and outrageously lied, on camera and in writing, regarding the shooting, how it happened, and what Pretti did. 4. The administration routinely lies and in fact administration members — like the Vice President — have defended lying as a practice.

The killing of Alex Pretti and the grotesque lying was an overreach by the administration. They've paid a price and had to pull back a bit. But it's when there's some disarray that the democratic opposition needs to intensify the offensive, and turn a marginal tactical success into a major victory.

It's very clear from what Karoline Leavitt is saying in this White House briefing and from Trump's B.S. "we had a nice call" post about Gov. Walz that the administration is furiously backpedaling. Don't ease up the peaceful pressure - increase it. All gas, no brakes.
