#Octoberworldbuilders After reading Unsaved, I hope they come away with two thoughts. Number one, will there be a sequel? Number two, did the protagonist make the right decision? Would you, if put in the same situation, make the same decisions? What price is survival worth? What's worth saving?

#OctoberWorldbuilders, how you feeling? Or rather, how do you want your readers to feel after they've finished your story? Are you trying to get them to feel a certain way? To think about a certain topic or theme? Or do you just want to entertain them?

Art, in the end, is an effort in human expression. However commercialized, it remains that. Though the more commercial, and the less human expression, the more forgettable. If you take out the human factor entirely, what's there left to connect with? Why waste time or money on something empty?

China’s first AI-generated theatrical feature has flopped, earning just $181,000 in its first weekend. By contrast, the scrappy ‘Niu Lai’ turned its crude animation into a viral attraction, grossing nearly $10 million a couple of months ago. www.cartoonbrew.com/box-office-r...

Boosting because Aowna rocks and I love her art. I will have to wait before getting more art since I just spent a bit of money on comms. Someone else go hire her!

Aowna@aowna.bsky.social

Tentatively opening waitlists for comms to gauge interest! vgen.co/Aowna I will likely actually open sometime near mid-November, after I'm done with my current set of deadlines~

Wow, I hate it. I absolutely despise the entitled mentality that, "oh, this isn't behind a paywall, so I must just be able to take it and repurpose it without asking." No! No you can't! You need to ask first before lifting 67,000 of my words for your project!

@bretdevereaux.bsky.social not sure if you're aware of this but apparently someone has set up a substack/podcast network that uses AI to read random blog articles and your series on peasant life is one of them: askwhocastsai.substack.com/p/collection...

Over hills Round many bends Its always strange At journey's end Through forest shade And dappled sun Forest giants rise And wild streams run Over hill And round mountain Occasional bird song The road goes ever on Till you've said goodbye And find yourself alone But cosily back, at home

#QueerPrompts My two published novels feature one of each MoKaM's MC is an intersex character who presents as femme for safety reasons (her world has a super-feminist society she has to travel through) MoLaB's secondary MC is trans nonbinary for the opposite reason: as an f-you to that society

Yet another icon who has passed away. Famous for being on Enterprise, of course. Yet the first role that comes to my mind is a later one, Bester on Babylon 5.

My pal Danielle Koenig shared that her father Walter Koenig passed away last night at age 90. A performer whose kindness and warmth shone through the screen. He will be well remembered.

If you feel overwhelmed by the question of what's special about your own daughter. If you can't answer that, you might not know your daughter. If you then take the generic answers from the slop machine and think that it gave you a brilliant insight into your own daughter. You need AI detox.

Did you know? In the Victorian era, a woman married the ghost of her dead fiancé and moved into a cottage. Neighbors claimed to hear her laughing and talking with her invisible husband. #Victorian #history #ghosts #Halloween

Congrats to Lula on overcoming Mark Zuckerberg and Donald Trump to defeat Hospital Pervert Jr., even as his opposition literally blocked off roads and turned off bus service during election day. Fascists are scary but they are always, 100% of the time, ultimately gigantic fucking losers.
