#OctoberWorldbuilders, how you feeling? Or rather, how do you want your readers to feel after they've finished your story? Are you trying to get them to feel a certain way? To think about a certain topic or theme? Or do you just want to entertain them?

#WIPSnips Some of the secret passageways in the Good Thyme Inn are a bit narrow... Neither of these characters are actually claustrophobic, but this is the best I got for the word, lol. I'm sure someone could be claustrophobic in the passageway. Here, Aubergine takes Felli (Peaches) to safety.

Welcome to spooky week for #WIPSnips! The #WIPSnips word for October 26th is "claustrophobia" Remember, use synonyms, variations or ✨vibes✨ if you don't have the word! #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

#QueerPrompts My two published novels feature one of each MoKaM's MC is an intersex character who presents as femme for safety reasons (her world has a super-feminist society she has to travel through) MoLaB's secondary MC is trans nonbinary for the opposite reason: as an f-you to that society

Back to doing #pixelart! This is my first attempt at pumpkins, but I followed along with some tutorials. Namely, MirruTatep's tutorial for the bottom-left and HanaPix (Youtube) for the two on the right. I wanted to do some autumny things around Halloween, and I'm enchanted by these pumpkins💕🎃

Good morning, #OctoberWorldbuilders! How's everyone today? This week's worldbuilder theme is aesthetics and vibes. Today's Q: What's the overall vibe of your world's clothing? What does it say about their culture or environment?

#AwesomeCharacters Ooh, how about this? In the following posts, I'll show off each of my Good Thyme Inn characters, each one with a different artist so you get to know a variety of them! Let's start off with this picture of Shallot by @igfiland.bsky.social

Tell me about your #AwesomeCharacters It's International Artist Day! 🎉🎉 And we haven't done an art share day in a bit! So, please share with me any art you have of your characters! A doodle or picrew works too! Help me picture them! (Please no AI) #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

Good morning, #OctoberWorldbuilders! What sort of aesthetics or vibes do you associate with faith/religions in your setting? What do churches, priests, or rituals look like? What sounds, sights, smells, feelings, etc. are associated with them? Were you inspired by any real faiths in creating yours?

#OctoberWorldbuilders, good morning friends! This one is broad and open-ended, and you can use your own words to describe it, not just what I've suggested: What is the overall vibe of your work? Where would it be on a dark-cozy scale? Or a fantasy-scifi scale? Or romance-nonromantic scale?

#SFFChat Q3 Well, Grilled was quite literally a serial killer in his life, so if his world's afterlife worked on usual rules, that would get him condemned 😅 Buuut, he's a Fire elemental, and Flamboil's stance is basically "well, stick to your own realm and if you feel violent urges, take it to an

#SFFChat Q3: Your MC finds themself being punished and/or rewarded in the afterlife! What are they most likely to be punished and/or rewarded for? Feel free to use the seven deadly sins, if you like!

arena or ask someone to fight you consensually." Since Grilled has a big family, some of whom would have made it to the afterlife before him (Shallot and Parsnips, for sure), they'd be waiting for him and probably be able to keep an eye on him.

#SFFChat Q2 Yes, out of the six planes of the Pentagonal Dominion, one of them is Spiritua, the afterlife. Access to it is cut off from its neighboring planes to mortals. Only the dead can go through the portals to get there. My characters know for a fact that it exists.

SFFChat@sffchat.bsky.social

#SFFChat Q2: Does your world contain an underworld or physical afterlife? Or, if not, do your characters believe in one?

#SFFChat Q1 Heyo, it's Erika, writer of Dark and Epic Fantasy Would it be cheap if I said my own? 😅 Big reason I wrote my fantasy world's afterlife the way I did is because I didn't really like the way it was represented anywhere else Otherwise, I'll say Haibane Renmei's setting for sleepy vibes

SFFChat@sffchat.bsky.social

Hello, everyone! Steve, back again. #SFFChat Q1: Introduce yourself & share a favourite representation of the afterlife or underworld!

#AwesomeCharacters Honestly, most of the Good Thyme characters can be deathly serious when the situation calls for it. But simply due to your phrasing of "the adult in the room" I have to go with Shallot, the Big Mama and innkeeper. 😌

Tell me more about your #AwesomeCharacters Welcome to the Intermittent Character Award Ceremonies!👏 Where you choose who gets the superlative! Today's award goes to: the Most Serious! Who is the adult in the room? Please award them! 🥇 #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

#Octember Grilled would actually go full magical girl with short skirt, frills, lace, jewels, the whole thing. He'd be so cute. And he'd absolutely live it up. His element would be fire, but it would be green. His clothes would have a light green theme to go with his wrist fire. Very Mew Lettuce

Please try to remember the 23rd of #Octember! TODAY'S QUESTION: What would your character's "magical girl" transformation be? Would they dance around in sparkles and get new tights? Or seal themselves in armor and weapons bristling for a fight? 1/2 #WriteSky #WritingCommunity

#OctoberWorldbuilders, hello friends! This week could either be very easy or very hard 😆 The theme this week is "aesthetics and vibes" so I'm looking for vague, broad answers. Today: Share a mood board or artwork of something related to your story

Good morning #OctoberWorldbuilders! And tell me about some of the weirder, more obscure, or setting-specific jobs in your world? Got any wizards who get paid for their magic work? What other peculiar things can a person get paid for in your setting that they might not be able to do on today's Earth?
