Related: I’m still looking for leads and help on jobs, fellowships, and freelance contracts on drones, GIS, aid, disaster, OSINT, tech ethics, and journalism. I simply will not work for evil people and/or weapons manufacturers, which is also why I haven’t had paying work since Trump 2.0 began.

Drone tech has so many incredible applications for so many industries and if you want to make any sort of living you have to work for an illiterate Nazi pervert dweeb who collects erotic anime figurines.

Israel votes today with polls showing it neck-and-neck between Netanyahu’s Far Right bloc and the mainly Hard Right opposition bloc. All but one of the leading Jewish parties have ruled out working with the Arab blocs.

Lula has been reelected president, Brazilian media has now called. An extraordinary comeback for the left-wing politician who trailed by 2 points in round 1 but managed to hold off Flávio Bolsonaro, the former president's son.

I've thought about a workaround: Post @conflictjournal.com content on *my* personal pages. While I might not want to, it's an option and my personal followings are bigger. I don't like the prospect of Big Tech stealing my work without pay. I put in time and energy in my news curation and reporting.

I'm still thinking about this interview, I'm so glad it was in a Q&A format. Fielder gave off strong journalist energy at one point and it's interesting. He tells us a lot but he wants audiences to tell him... things? We want to hear from him too. And I get the feeling he doesn't comprehend that.

It's okay to not know everything. It's also okay to share your thoughts and feelings. It's cool to learn things. Fielder says people are smart. They are! And people think he is smart too. We want to hear from him. www.wired.com/story/nathan...

another reason why having a concrete accountability plan is so important. they have to know there will be consequences, exposure, liability of some sort.

we're going to need a long-term plan, with broad political appeal, for ending impunity & holding the trump administration accountable for its crimes, malfeasance & cruelties. not 'tit-for-tat' but an american version of transitional justice. my take in @slate.com 👇

What the Attorney General of the United States seems to not understand, but the people who matter do, is that Congress hasn’t given DOJ any authority to block states from certifying the election. This isn’t a thing. And we don’t have to pretend it’s a thing just because he says it’s a thing.

🚨🚨🚨 Q: Is there any scenario in which DOJ would try to block states from certifying the election? AG TODD BLANCHE: Yes, of course. It is not DOJ's intention to improperly interfere with elections or the state certification process, but ...

Recent reporting suggests it's not if but when Israel and the US launch major new strikes on Iran. The famous definition of insanity--doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

Microsoft literally told fragile white guys to use AI to compete with Black co-workers.

The first genuinely honest ad for generative AI I've ever seen, from Microsoft / CoPilot A mediocre white guy sees his non-white colleague getting praised for good work, he asks AI to *literally copy it*, and then he gets all the praise instead: www.ispot.tv/ad/SoDi/micr...
