This bug was introduced in PHP 5.4, which was released in 2012. So no, it wasn't caused by AI coding.

The more I play with NixOS, the more I want to throw away everything else. In the past days LLMs patched my kernel to fix bluetooth, patched OBS to properly deal with NVIDIA drivers. Meanwhile I've had an issue with Podman in Debian and the only fix is to build and deploy my own netavark 🙄

If you're intending to use Podman on Debian stable with BBR, don't. The ancient netavark that they deploy (and for which they don't provide a backport) improperly deals with MTU, so everything runs like shit, even on container-to-host transfers.

My personal server runs uutils-*, hickory-dns, ntpd-rs, haproxy with aws-lc, curl with rustls, will run oxish one day, ZFS root (XFS on my work DaVinci Resolve disk), hardened kernel without having to wait for any upstream dictator to make that available to me and no convoluted 1990s script hacks

My colleague installed Eclipse to see what programming in Java is like, and then used Claude to figure out which files he needed to delete to cleanup the pile of stuff it installed. Claude found this:

6 years after releasing rusty-s3, downloads keep growing. Of all of the stuff going on this year, I'm happy to see it continue to be adopted with little effort on my side. Happy that this small little crate is slowly finding it's own niche of users that dislike bloated autogenerated API bindings.

If you haven't tried it yet, we support RustCrypto, aws-lc and graviola as crypto backends. Also, and I didn't expect to see this, we are the biggest dependent on instant-xml on crates.io 🤯

After this "gift", I expect more PRs sent to open source projects. Huge sloppy descriptions, the author using the PR review feature to talk to it's own clanker. 🙄 Maybe I should give Qwen it's own GitHub account so that clankers talk to each other and I don't have to even think about this mess /s

Migration almost complete. I'm starting to appreciate the GitHub Actions-style CI, despite the flaws, after my years long love-hate relationship with Gitlab CI. The UX in general is amazing and snappy. Maybe I'll move some of my smaller projects to Codeberg, who knows...

Finally got around to trying Forgejo. Performance is better, except some endpoints where for some reason it takes 150ms to list commits in a tiny repo, which still feels like too much. Anyway, if I stop complaining about GitLab you now know why.

lettre and rust-postgres are not fully mine, and it's not up to me to make this decision on my own, but for projects like rusty-s3, libraw-rs, warb and img-parts maybe... I love consolidation.
