I saw a YouTube video the other day of someone breaking down terrible chess scenes in a TV show. I don't know a ton about chess besides the basic rules, but that inspired me to try to create the dumbest possible board configuration that was still technically legal.

#Inktober Day 27: Dumb

This was supposed to just be a digital sketch before doing the real thing with ink and paper, but I kept going and it turned out... surprisingly good!

Amazing how some companies think that someone placing one (1) order for a product they sell means the customer wants not just the product in question but also at least eight emails per day afterward in perpetuity.

My company has been under a lot of financial stress for the past two years, but we still buy the good toilet paper for the bathrooms. That alone gives me more confidence in management than anything else.

Nihilism is a luxury a lot of people cannot afford. They are forced to make imperfect choices in order to survive. It’s normal to feel it from time to time, but I think we, especially those of us who are relatively insulated, have a responsibility to keep it to ourselves. To process it ourselves.

As I like to say...you are not going to get a social democracy simply by trimming US military expenditures down to 2 percent of GDP.

A big reason why people w/ low incomes don’t share in our prosperity is that we underinvest in economic security programs like unemployment insurance, paid leave, housing, and other benefits. We spend FAR LESS on these programs than our peers do.

Every election in rural America is the worlds most sincere progressive swearing to bring material benefit to their community and then losing by 80% to a rightwing chud who wanted to do austerity while making it harder for black people to vote This is the fault of Democrats not messaging hard enough

Trump’s vanity projects — a gold ballroom, a $100M “Triumphal Arch,” gold-plated horse statues, a $50M golf course — are set to cost taxpayers $1.8+ billion. Here’s what that money could have been spent on:

Another one. The premise: Young people are cutting off their parents for minor mistakes and misunderstandings. The lead anecdote: A woman severs ties with her family for refusing to get vaccinated before her wedding — to a man who *lost his mother and brother to COVID*

Seriously how do y'all watch streamers? I just watched a man try to play Castlevania and read donations and fail so spectacularly at both he didn't get a complete sentence out for a solid 5 minutes "Is 5% of map too much map? Well actually, thanks for the gift subs, and you, oh I died, but anyway"
