The Ramaswamy ad has pushed the largest newspaper in Ohio, the Cleveland Plain Dealer, to reverse its position on endorsements. "A candidate who uses childhood sexual abuse as a weapon against the person who endured it has crossed a line that Ohioans should defend, whatever their party."

BOOM! Finally somebody takes down those arrogant little preschoolers and their so-called art: "Adults outperformed children on externally rated creativity, particularly in structured tasks."

Someday, people will stop invoking Mandela as an icon of nonviolence. But apparently today is not that day.
Martin Luther King was much more successful than Malcolm X for example. Before that, there was no need for a bloody civil war in most countries that abolished slavery. Just votes. Independence can also be bloodless. Gandhi in India, Walesa in Poland, Mandela in South Africa. The list is long.

It's fucking wild how openly "trying to put a bandaid on oil before the midterms" is Trump's only goal and something he's using our nations armed forces to achieve and all the normal "uh you gotta respect the troops!" guys don't say anything about it
White House is considering targeted strikes on Kharg Island, which handles approximately 90% of Iran's oil exports. The goal is to force concessions on Tehran's nuclear program and the Strait of Hormuz before the US midterm elections on Nov. 3.

The other thing that is missing here is that the turn to online platforms among millennial humanities academics isn’t all about declining opportunities in the academy; it’s also about the rupturing of the possibilities for intellectual camaraderie within the neoliberal university.

I had a temp job as a receptionist one grad school summer at Wells Fargo Private Banking. For some inscrutable reason, I told them I understood how the phone system worked, but this was not in fact true. I was there for one excruciating day of accidentally forwarding customer calls into oblivion.

At the University of Chicago, male applicants are now nearly twice as likely to be admitted as female applicants are. chicagomaroon.com/53804/viewpo...

Given that there are basically the same number of spaces at Ivy and equivalent schools as there were 40 years ago, and vastly more people applying, these schools can basically choose whatever mix of students they want. What Chicago wants, evidently, is a student body that is predominantly male.

Just to be clear: These different admissions rates are not just a mechanical result of more women applying. The most recent entering class was 58% male and 42% female. That is a choice. chicagomaroon.com/53303/news/u...

She condemned the Biden U.S. arms deal with Israel, and as retaliation the Biden administration opened an investigation against her. The Trump administration is actually piggybacking off that Democratic investigation. Both parties are cesspools of Islamophobia.
Another reason to be thankful, on this Canadian Thanksgiving, that I'm north of the border. It would perhaps be edifying, however, to inquire exactly where the fuck the Democratic Congressional "Leadership" is. Oh, wait, silly me, she's Muslim so they won't lift a finger to help her.
Yup. My account over there, which I no longer use, is from *2007.* I had lists of accounts I read, rather than using the algorithmic timeline. So for me, the biggest impact from Musk on my twitter experience was that stuff I liked reading started disappearing.
I think a factor that people intentionally refuse to consider is that a person with a decade-old account on twitter has probably built themselves sufficient insulation that they don't see the worst of the worst, whereas a new user's feed is 100% just Grok and Elon inventing new kinds of sex crimes
