A brain worm I feel the need to give to others: Deadpool (having hijacked a starship): Who am I?! I am Wade Wilson. Mercenary. Son of Thomas and Hailey Wilson. I am the right hand of violence and the boot that is going to kick your sorry ass home. I am slapstick incarnate! Large Marge sent me!!!

Random thought: you know how they found paint chips on old statues that indicated they had brightly colored paint jobs? Well, if modern minitaure painting has taught us anything, it's that block colors are usually just the base coat of a more complicated paint job. Can we detect an oil wash?

For some reason my brain decided to invent what I'm calling a skyray leviathan for a dream this morning. It grabbed stuff that got too close the the surface in a shallow area.

I think one of the reasons AI retains any support, is that the only people it does what it's supposed to (the boring parts of the job) for are programmers and that's because clearly describing what code should do is both the hard and interesting part and what the LLM needs to auto complete the code.

Random discovery: The thing in my KDE setup that enlarges the mouse pointer for visibility if you move it around rapidly, just keeps going if you keep doing it.

Behold, my hotrods. Their companions are going to be white-topped teal. I think the final formula was Vallejo red airbrush primer, Turbodork redrum and Vallejo black gloss on top, a mix of glossy and carbon black for skirts, and AK superchrome for the accents. Also a thinned carbon black wash.

"Computer! Play Orion Love Festival Thirty-Seven!" "Confirmed. Sending command to Earth." "Um..." "Storing record of command in Starfleet databanks." "You really don't have to, I have the video stored locally..." "Your request is being reviewed by a prudish Vulcan."

Never forget that billionaires spend billions to convince you that voting doesn't matter. Don't help them. Voting isn't the ONLY thing we can do, but it is the most powerful check on the executive. "Don't bother voting because there'll be no free elections" is oligarch propaganda.

Having a NAS causes you to invent problems you don't have just so you can solve them by having a NAS

If it helps, people are mad at Democrats because many of their social media presences produce comms which address what's happening as though we're simply dealing with the consequences of going along with a bad restaurant recommendation. The food isn't just bad, we want to shut down the restaurant.

The original Master of Orion, because almost no other 4x game is stripped down to play that fast while retaining detail. Most lean on Civ's 'city improvements' approach to infrastructure.

How are people generally feeling about Prop 50? On the one hand I feel like independent districting commissions are the kind of thing you can have when the Voting Rights Act is in place. On the other hand it literally is what it is, and it being Newsome's scheme seems like damning with faint praise

How many reporters are currently working on tell-all exposés about their own organization, detailing all the acts of cowardice of their editors and publishers? I won’t ever buy your book about Sleepy Joe Biden, but I’d absolutely devour a book about the internal collapse of the NYT or CNN.

It should be slam dunk messaging for Dems that the Trump administration has made it the best time in generations to engage in child sexual exploitation, counterfeiting, heavy-duty drug trafficking, and all manner of federal crimes that have been deemphasized in favor of arresting random line cooks

Considering some notepad designs! Which two do you like most? Originally wanted to do all 3 but think I need to cut down /pun semi-intended 1- Regular 2- Romantic with either poppies or roses with flower flowing out of basket at the bottom 3- Spiderlilies and skull at bottom

So this dumbass went and loaded up Planetes because I wanted to hear that OP, even if it makes me a bit misty (and ignoring why the opening to Planetes in particular makes me that way)... I forgot about that cold open of the first episode. OOF!

You are up to date.
