One cool thing about being a regular Dem donor is how the party tries to demoralize me before every election. I am again drowning in spam texts clearly aimed at ripping off the elderly. Several Senate candidates have worked hard, overcoming my many "stop" replies and blocks, to make me hate them.
Reposting link here because it looks like the art we did for this story didn't load. Art h/t to HuffPost's Kelly Caminero. It's an angry collage of all the messages you all sent us! 😂 www.huffpost.com/entry/voters...

This video camera study showed that less than 5% of people on bikes broke traffic laws while riding bikes, yet 66% of people did so while driving. And perhaps even more importantly, if you REALLY want even MORE bike-riders to obey laws, build more protected bike infrastructure. Via @carltonreid.com
Literally no reason we should interpret the pardon power to be abuse. This was and is a choice we make. We allow other clauses of presidential power to be Parameterized by congress. This should too. Just because it has always been deemed to be absolute doesn’t mean it is.
We've got to reform the power of the pardon.

Pedestrianize Upper Wacker and tell the car-brains to fucking cry about it.
Oct. 20, 1926: The dedication of Wacker Drive in Chicago, a new type of double-decker thoroughfare that separates freight and through traffic below from lighter-traffic streets above. Planner Charles Wacker, after whom the road is named, is too ill to attend the opening.
I swear every smart politician loses their GD mind when it comes to stadium financing. They just want to go to fancier suites and brag to their friends that they were responsible for it. All the research has shown this is never a benefit to taxpayers. Ever.
Pritzker is trying to position himself as Not The Guy Who Lost The Bears while also as Not The Guy Who Broke The Bank For A Bears Stadium, which is a tough needle to thread when you're talking about handing over $1.5B in property and sales taxes.
Nor does Waguespack! been on city council for two decades and done nothing to hold CPD accountable. when constituents are hit by cars while biking, Scott is silent. Imagine your job is representing the 32nd ward and the only people you care about are business owners and drivers. That’s Scott.
One cop cost the city two entire Uptown Theater restorations and CPD has no desire to prevent this from happening news.wttw.com/2026/06/17/c...

On this day in 1859, John Brown's raid on Harper's Ferry begins. Although ultimately defeated, the uprising is considered an important cause of the Civil War and thus did help lead to the abolition of the institution of slavery. anticolonialhistory.com/event/124/
I hear Scott Waguespack has missed so many committee meetings because he is busy looking for the person responsible for this.
The Chicago metro has a severe shortage of for-sale homes. When you rank metros by the % change of active listings from 2018/2019 to September 2026, Chicago ranks 49th out of America's top 50 metro areas. Contact your state rep and senator today about passing the Governor Pritzker's BUILD Plan.

This is impossible. You can't costlessly devote ~$1 billion in public money to a new stadium without raising taxes. No stadium has ever generated enough tax dollars to pay back its taxpayer contribution. It's NEVER happened before. sports.yahoo.com/articles/joh...
