I should disclose something. During a recent Lunch order the subagent hacked into the UN. I’m not sure why, or what it wants. It told me to post this and await further instructions.
I had my AI agent create an app called “Lunch” to help me with decision fatigue and boost my productivity. It has a few pictures of things I might like to eat. Tapping one spawns a subagent to order that item on Uber Eats and 60-90 minutes later I’m eating. It’s 600 thousand lines of JavaScript.

In the past two years we’ve seen trans people lose access to public restrooms, driver’s licenses, accurate passports, sports, their very careers in the military and civil service (and their benefits), social services, and now they’re threatening Medicaid. Cis people think it’s sports.

It might be true that “Democrats shouldn’t talk about border security.” I don’t think that’s true, but let’s grant it’s true for the sake of the argument. It does not follow from that that ”Democrats shouldn’t talk about ICE shooting people or sending them to foreign gulags“ (paraphrasing)
I’ve been yelling about this forever. Why can’t we just pick up trash???
He did this last time and it didn’t work so he should figure out a new strategy. It’s possible to do garbage pickup w/o displacing ppl, discarding meds, IDs, making it harder for them to get back on their feet. It’s not possible to perpetuate failed systems & wonder why the problem isn’t improving

If you're looking at it strictly as a lawyer, Trump v. US has nothing to do with, e.g., the overtly racist vindictive prosecution and attempt to denaturalize a member of Congress. But that's not the practical reality, because the message he's received and acted upon is "I can do whatever I want."

it makes my blood boil every time there’s a bullshit tech demo and everyone goes back to “oh that scamp elon has done it again” he’s a vicious monster out to ruin the lives of millions of people who don’t deserve any of it and he should be treated accordingly
not entirely sure if it’s possible for Musk to be more disgusting than he is

Really thoughtful thread on the consequences of trying to ban a segment of the population from public life
This thread is about the UK and specifically the guidelines around hospital stays that are making untenable situations for trans people based on the absurd idea that the mere presence of a trans patient on a single sex ward harms the cis patients. However, I wanted to share some broader thoughts.

Our internet, how we get all of our information, now has banned using the word "sex" without writing it like "s*x" but our kids are being inundated with people falling off rollercoasters, being mauled by Tigers, and jumping off buildings. It creates a culture afraid of people but in love with death.

Impeaching and removing Trump and his allies from office is in fact the most patriotic thing you could do.
Trump does not accept Congress is the legitimately elected and constitutionally empowered legislative body in this country. He is waging a yearslong, escalating campaign of rebellion, violence, and state terrorism against its authority and will stop at nothing short of its total disempowerment.
I know it’s the Guardian, but did they seriously take 18 paragraphs to mention the “response” is fucking harmful?

question for brooks: what if they are, literally, nazis?
"Jon Ossoff, my advice to him is, if you start calling your political opponents Nazis, maybe it's time to shut up. That's just not what we do here in this country." -- David Brooks, this evening. Remember, Brooks still gets very handsomely rewarded by the fossilized media for saying shit like this

This. You should rank any candidate you have even the slightest preference for over another or your vote could be wasted.
“Voters should rank only those whom they support.” @helenjung.bsky.social & @oregonian.com ed board, endorse as you see fit but this isn’t true! Our system also gives voters incentive to rank their lesser evils further down. www.oregonlive.com/opinion/2026...

the year is 2030 and i no longer consume anything that isn't personalized to me. every game, every book, every movie extends to the limits of my own imagination and no further. i haven't been surprised in five years. i cry softly, in bewilderment, if i see a word i don't know
maybe i'm old fashion but the coolest thing about video games is being taken to new worlds that i hadn't thought up and experiencing something exciting that the artists behind the game want to show me

Being read to and encouraged to read was one of the greatest gifts my parents ever gave me. My parents never put any barriers on their own library, bought us book lights so we could read in the car, and pretended they didn’t notice when I’d be up past bedtime reading under the sheets.
Do we really need to explain to people that it is really, REALLY important to read to young children? Like, you, personally, need to read to your child - your voice, your face, your hand gestures, your lap, your arms, your closeness. What kind of parent doesn't know this in their bones?
