Whenever I hear of a studio that has “grown 50%” since their last successful release, I get worried. So many companies grow way too fast. On the other hand you see small teams staying small, and doing great work for decades. A successful game can keep you afloat for ages if you stay small.

In Australia Did It we have a command called “trailermode” which toggles this kind of stuff. We also have a component you can attach to anything which basically just disables that thing if trailermode is on. It works pretty well!

So with the news of the layoffs at KO_OP, I'm officially looking for work later this fall. I'm an experienced narrative designer that's worked on both sprawling open world stories and intimate cinematic narratives, even netting some award wins and noms. More details on my experience below!

Extremely heartbroken to say that I'm one of the affected members. Working at KO_OP for four and a half years has been one of the best things to ever happen to me and I really hope that my teammates can land a pitch that can bring us all back together again.

i have unfortunately been affected by this, and will be leaving the studio at the end of this month. i will miss it dearly and am really hoping to make it back. ko_op is/was likely my last ride in games, but i am open to the right opportunity. deets on my experience in thread.
