That this bot, which posts random stills and clips from the thousands of hours of VHS transfers on archive.org, landed on *this specific frame* feels like finding the monkey at the typewriter that managed to write Hamlet.

A long-overdue update to my England goalscorers chart for 20+ goals: Harry Kane is now in the 90s. Every goal plotted against the opponent’s kick-off Elo, plus a breakdown of goals against sides rated above 1,900. Saka, Rashford and Beckham added too.

Never been to the opera before? Now’s your chance. We’re giving away 70,000 free tickets to the @metopera at the iconic Lincoln Center. Go to on.nyc.gov/opera to enter the lottery. There’s not a bad seat in the house.

I'm on the wireless in about ten mins. BBC Radio 4's More or Less, just after 0920, talking to Tim Harford about why albums end quietly, the physics of vinyl, and what happened when records weren’t limited by that physics. They've put me on last. Of course they have. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...

6. As far as we can see, the rescuer was okay - though this is bordering on attempted murder. RNLI then headed towards the Solent, AIS off and chased by the far-right. Authorities in Portsmouth likely were warned that people would be offloaded and processed at Gosport, so Thomas rallied activists.
