A new survey of 1,000 American adults found that the strongest supporters of transgender sports bans are not the people who admire women most: they are the people who hold the most hostile views about women. www.helenwebberley.com/news/transge...

helenwebberley.comAre transgender sports bans really about protecting women? | Dr Helen WebberleyThe data says no. Those most hostile to women are most in favour of banning trans athletes.

A legend in the making, what a terrible loss. Special shout out to his work on Unikitty, that show is very unappreciated. His work and impact will never be forgotten.

Shock Top End of the World Midnight Wheat (2012-2012): A Belgian-style wheat ale, brewed with chili, chocolate malt and spices. It had a distinctive dark chestnut color from the use of midnight wheat. Released in late Fall to prepare for the "end of the world" event predicted for that December

RAM OK ROM OK Happy 25th anniversary, Grand Theft Auto III! Released in North America on 22/10/01 and then a few days later in Europe when I picked it with a 'Huh, I remember GTA on PS1; wonder if this is any good?'. This is a pretty special game to me for being absolutely floored within minutes.

Treasure Planet and Legally Blonde are both so good and it is criminal that they aren't, like, 20 minutes longer to flesh out the characters more

The best Bioware games were works of art that inspired millions and saved people's lives. That's what good art does. And into the bin it goes, courtesy of the Saudi Arabian government, Jared Kushner and Silver Lake. Why make games when there's copper wire in the walls to be scrapped and sold!

Rot in hell, EA. I'd say fuck this industry but this is just damn near every major corporation in 2026. Cut as many people as you can, keeping the bare minimum around to churn out mediocre products that can milk consumers for every penny they have, and then once it's made, cut more people.

Bioware made some of the most beloved stories and worlds in games and had such an impact on RPG that they essentially reshaped public perception of it and what it could be It also, not always successfully but always out of good intentions, was one of the biggest source of AAA queer stories in games

Reminds me of the Caleb Hearon bit where he says Trump should've just been a catty gay dude making fun of people's outfits on the red carpet

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "I'm studying his body. I've never studied the body of a man before. It's not my thing. Nothing wrong with it, of course. But it's never been my thing. But I looked at his ass. I said, 'His ass, shit, it's like a pile of muscle.' Then I looked at his legs and I said, 'Man, his feet are big.'"

God, the fake SNL skits on this were BRUTAL, truly painful to watch. Great performances from the actors on the show, but also a lot of "comedy" to drama whiplash, and of course all the Sorkin self-serious monologuing.

Aaron Sorkin's infamous Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip debuted 20 years ago this fall. I talked with a group of contemporary comedy writers about why the show didn't work, but also why they're still obsessed with it:
