People who were critical of Friday’s remarks by Utah Gov. Spencer Cox might take a second listen. “Words are not violence,” he said, which in recent years has been an idea expressed by many conservatives. But…

“What is your basis for saying she puts roast beef in her pockets and in her pants?” I don’t even know where to begin. You just have to read these two pages.

My plan to revive American manufacturing is to: raise the price of inputs like steel, aluminum & copper; create shortages of rare earths; generate less electricity; invite retaliatory tariffs; cut R&D; raise borrowing costs by blowing out the budget; and to cover it all in a cloud of uncertainty.

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE. This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined. It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

Silly Leftists thought we’d be better off spending the last 40 years addressing climate change and making sure everyone had healthcare. Glad we didn’t get ourselves into a mess like that. I mean, could you imagine??

Sen. Murphy continues to regularly say the things that many of you complain that no prominent Democrat is saying.

The Minnesota assassin appears to be a hate-filled right winger. So can we stop walking on eggshells about MAGA's legitimization of political violence? Yes, Republicans have also been the target of inexcusable violence, but this isn't a "both sides" issue. 1/ A🧵on the danger.

Some thoughts about the military parade in my hometown of Washington DC today -- specifically, the route. Military parades in DC are quite rare. But when they happen, they have always begun, symbolically and geographically, at the Capitol and moved outward. 1/

Happy 250th Birthday to OUR Army. These are the kinds of memories I’ll always cherish, celebrating the cutting of the Army’s birthday cake together with the youngest soldier in the unit. Celebrating true service, our values and the legacy of our force. This is who & what our army is!

These are the proactive steps states need to be taking right now. Another thing: every Democratic governor needs to have a sit-down now with the state adjutant general to carefully review that person's understanding of their responsibilities to their state, its citizens and the federal constitution.

Governor Jay Inslee@govjayinslee.bsky.social

Washington just took the reasonable step of not allowing the National Guard of other states to operate here without our agreement. It’s not the Guard personnel we are concerned about, it’s other governors in the Trump cult. katu.com/news/local/g...

There are 2 previous historical cases of countries destroying their science and universities, crippling them for decades: Lysenkoism in the USSR and Nazi Germany. The Trump administration will be the 3rd. It's not just budgets but research, institutions, expertise, and training the next generation.

Yeah, it does seem kinda bad for a newspaper owner to get into business with a guy who vivisected one of his opinion columnists.

Jeff Bezos once mourned Jamal Khashoggi in public—now the Amazon billionaire is making billion-dollar deals with his executioner, which reveals more about his values than any vigil ever could. More in Status: www.status.news/p/jeff-bezos...

To put this into context he is flying to the Middle East TOMORROW to negotiate business deals per the WaPo. Also in context is the is a massive OpSec problem. It would take years to scour this thing for surveillance devices.

So let me get this straight: masks are bad and un-American if worn to fight a pandemic, but good if worn by people claiming to be government agents when they kidnap people off the street

You may notice that after years of griping about alleged collusion between social media cos and govt, the social media platforms are curiously absent from the list. MAGA is not interested in tech's role now, because the social media platforms are currently doing Trump’s bidding. 4/

As we’ve said before now confirmed. FOIA requests reveal that DOGE employees are pulling in six-figure salaries, with many holding the title of “Expert,” a specific Office of Personnel Management (OPM) designation that pays around $190,000 a year.

Once again, I was left to wonder: was Pete Hegseth signal chatting military attack plans to everyone but me?? Am I the one that’s insecure, or is it his communication practices that are insecure?

Trump's trade war: Volvo plans lay off up to 800 workers at three plants in Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania because of concern that Trump's tariffs will cut into sales. This is how we get to a recession (or are in one already).

Character matters. Chris Krebs told inconvenient truths about the 2020 election being the safest and most secure and got fired by tweet for it. This man holds more courage in his little finger than the sum of the entire Republican apparatus.

Chris Krebs, the former senior cybersecurity official whom President Donald Trump fired for affirming the 2020 presidential election was secure, is leaving his private sector cybersecurity job after he and the company were targeted by Trump last week.

AOC: I saw on Fox, Jeanine Pirro says that they found so many babies and two year olds and four year olds receiving social security. I got a notice for you Jeanine Pirro: those babies receive social security because their parents died. That’s not a waste. That’s humanity. That’s America.
