What do we think the problem is here? Do we think the problem is that politicians and policy wonks *do not* understand that carbon capture doesn’t work.

I dug into Anthropic's 240,000-word prospectus so you don't have to. The AI giant said data centers are likely to increase gas prices, it's not interested in nuclear or renewables, and it's looking to expand abroad in part due to U.S. data center backlash. subscriber.politicopro.com/newsletter/2...

Great video from @stephenrobles.com generously recommending @shareshot.app for our iPhone Duo support. I have some minor improvements coming soon too. If you watch this video and like some of the indie apps in there remember to rate and review them for their efforts!

Pretty sure everyone who approves new gas & oil fields defends them. Goes with the territory. How about writing "Burnham has no acceptable justification for accelerating climate breakdown"?
OMG this looks gorgeous - stick around for the later parts of the video. Person who kade the lapping waves on the sand deserves an award. Hoping for an iOS version 🤞

App Store Review has taken 24 hours so far for @shareshot.app 2.0.4 with Duo support. Jealous of others seeing very fast turnarounds.

Individuals and corporations are already outspending the unions in funding Labour as it is. novaramedia.com/2026/02/20/l...
The trade unions resisting a political donations cap in the UK are ragged-trousered philanthropists. Thanks to their delusion that a system allowing limitless donations enhances their power, they're in danger of handing the country to the far-right parties that billionaires support. Burnham must act

"Ministers need to be honest with the British public about the immediate threat posed by Russia, which could soon lead to lives being lost, a former national security adviser has said." www.theguardian.com/technology/2...
Any wide-scale attacks by Russia and/or China will also involve attacks against civilian infrastructure, from banking to trucking to hospitals to power companies. The goal is to paralyze and disrupt the West's ability to make sense of events and reach consensus on how to respond in a timely manner.

I gave a talk at EMF titled "Men in Tech #YesAllMen", in which I told my experience of being a woman in tech. I was afraid to publish it in case it affected my current or future employment. With all the current news I would like to add my 2¢. So here is the recording: youtu.be/WXL6K1lhvt0?...

UK ‘an outlier in Europe’ for letting Farage and other politicians present TV shows. GB News, owned by hedge fund manager, is the propaganda arm of Reform/Farage. Politicians must be scrutinized, and not allowed to present news or current affairs programmes.

Do you see this? This is lots of people who saw clearly that The Day Of Reckoning was coming, and wanted to do something to prevent it. And the world’s most poisonous, ugliest, most horrifying media class told the public it was a “carnival of hate”, and similar things www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-poli...

I used to think "everyone will have to change behaviour and mitigate climate change very quickly because the insurers will raise prices and stop insuring and the economy breaks." Of course the reality is probably that the insurers are collectively weak, lowball their prices and then go bust.

"It turns out the 2020 crypto boom did fundamentally change the way money worked on the internet, just not in the way its biggest evangelists had hoped. Instead of convincing the general population to embrace Bitcoin and blockchains, it created a new form of grifter capitalism."

@snell.zone @myke.social on design prediction meetings… I once contracted to a web agency who made sites for a big UK smoothie/juice brand. One of these meetings the brand agency showed a slide of images representing the brand last year and another next year. One of them: “what kind of SHOE is it?”

If the @greenparty.org.uk can run Labour this close, under their new and currently popular Prime Minister, enjoying his temporary 'bounce', what will they be able to do once the novelty wears off? 👍
We TRIPLED our vote share. Second best byelection result in Green Party history. On a date that Labour chose to deliberately clash the same week as our conference. All with a brand new PM in previously a "safe" seat. Best response to all the absolute nonsense today? Join.greenparty.org.uk

My point remains that if we're going to pretend Apple is just as bad as these other companies bowing down to the Trump regime (They're not), we should cover it as such. But conveniently leaving them out of the conversation when blatant corruption is on display only serves to further the narrative.

We've been pushing hard to get @shareshot.app 2.1 and its big features ready for Duo launch but there's too much to do. So parking that while we finish just the Duo compatibility for a 2.0.4. There's just not enough hours in the day before Duo-day.
