I had my 1st Karen report to manager moment today 😞 I had a bag approved for meds on day 1 of an event. Day 2, I had a security guard decide I was… lying? Annoyed before we even spoke. Told her it was prescription, said yes, she asked to see, & then told her supervisor it was

just RANDOM PILLS🥴😡 not meds. Bc of that, I had to list my prescriptions, a violation of rights. After I asked if I had been unclear it was prescriptions & she was SO mad. Best believe I found the manager and reported. Idk what her problem was but hope she learns to be kinder

I sincerely apologize to anyone who I’ve ever upset with my dead mom jokes… But I will do it again. I don’t get to have my mom so let me have my jokes.

just wanna make sure no one is out there advising developers to go into stream chats and ask streamers to play their game as a first message unprompted? I’m all for covering indies, but cold calls belong in my email 🙏

I'm going to say this with my whole chest. Steam has rules about AI disclosure. Those rules directly relate to the Steam store page (reasonably considered an advertisement). If a dev or pub fails to disclose AI usage in accordance with those policies, they are being dishonest in their advertising

I really hate that all my emails lately are so clearly AI generated/scraping. I am more likely to answer an email if it's clear a human wrote it and took the time to ACTUALLY review my channel. Me playing a one off game + mentioning it makes it super obvious it's not personalized.

am I entitled? pr company sends email -> I look, respond if I’m interested with what coverage I can do -> I get a response that is obviously AI but is marked as coming from a person (repeats my exact wording, ignores unspoken questions) 🥲 it feels so disrespectful? icky?

what the heckies! my first discord impersonation s/o to @/SystemRelic for being a gem and letting me know this isn't me. i'm just lydlbutton on all platforms, no bells, no whistles! and i would NEVER capitalize the L in my name 😆 link to report below

the first shout was cute 🥰 the second shout was neat 🤔 the 3rd-6th shouts were ironic 🥴 the rest were going live notifs 🥲 I was hoping to see heartfelt messages and updates on streamers 😭 why is it always a race to see how much viewership you can wring out of new features?

Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to congratulate me on my Twitch partnership 🥹 it took eight years of consistency and hard work & I’m so proud of my resilience & commitment. extra shoutout to meek for believing in me even when I didn’t 💜

Invitation to all my content friends over the years! SATURDAY, the kickoff stream of LYDTEMBER, I'll have knocks open & the intent to bring lots of folks for lil 5-10 min features Sept 26th 11amCT 💜 would love to highlight how many folks have helped get me where I am today!

announced this last thursday! LYDTEMBER IS BACK ... 2 Basics Celebrating 8 years of streaming, we're bringing back what you know and love: props, costumes, silly events, & (of course) lots of giveaways. Who knows? Maybe we'll even hear about partner application 🤭

imma need home improvement stores to pay their workers better for selfish reasons the workers don’t know NOTHING anymore. you ask for help, they ask their tablet. like… yeah, I can search online. I’m asking for advice from a supposedly experienced human

Maybe motivational thread for folks going to TwitchCon: The first time I attended TwitchCon as an established creator, I walked the floor with a plan. I had accomplishments I was proud of and a pitch prepared. Even so, I had vendors look me in the eye and tell me I was a liar, I was too small to

Four or five years later, I can now confidently walk a floor. I make real connections based on genuine interest. I am confident in my content and worth. The companies who look at you and scoff don't deserve your time, and not every nice representative you talk to will see you as a good fit.

talk to, and I wasn't worth their time. Those that were kind didn't return my followup e-mails. I felt so worthless, and I avoided cons for ages. All it took was one company giving me a chance--@fractalofficial.bsky.social --at a small local convention. I've learned, changed, and grown personally.
