Moon is GOAT. Top 10 movies for me.

Holiday toy magazine arrives in the mail. 4yo kiddo: “What is this?” Mom: “A magazine trying to sell you toys.” Kiddo: “why?” Mom: “Because capitalizism is incentivized to make you want more things through ads.” Flips through the magazine Kiddo: “yep! Works on me. I really want these things.”

Doing some catchup — watched the pilots of Welcome to Derry and The Burbs today. WtD comes out swinging and I love it. Burbs is def a slow cook. Hope it gets up to speed more in future episodes. Great cast.

Just directed the first rehearsal for an unscripted horror comedy show coming to Bridge City Improv in October. Very excited to finally be devising this project with some very talented performers!

Get on @screamboxtv.bsky.social this Friday and watch my film kick off Season 19 of Bloody Bites!

Woo! I edited this!

My film kicks off season 19 of Bloody Bites on Screambox next week!!!!!!

Quibble with the Odyssey — the unpainted statue. We know they were painted. Why do the ”museum” look?

A moment of petrifying clarity. Being a working creative isn't about exorcising your demons. It's making your demons pay rent.

New life goal. Great just famous enough to be a contestant on Taskmaster.

The guest stars in Fallout Season 2 are great. Clancy Brown Kumail Nanjiani Jon Daly Dale Dickey Macaulay Culkin Ron Perlman And more. So much fun. Thankful for physical media and my local library so I don’t have to get prime to watch it.

Took my instant camera to set on our last day of filming episodes for That Got Weird. Can’t wait for this show to release. Fans of Whose Line.., Dropout, and general hilarity. #improvcomedy #absurd #indie

On set for a new comedy game show (That Got Weird) I’m working Assistant Directing and cam operator. It’s gonna be pretty awesome. Can’t wait to share more photos/content.

I am doing two dream projects this fall! The Bureau of Madness - Improvised Cosmic Horror! Saturdays (except 31st) at Bridge City Improv, Milwaukie, OR The Polyhedral Portal - ThePolyhedralPortal.com SciFi Horror Comedy TTRPG Show I also have a new baby and a 4 year old. Life is very full.

My kiddo (4.5yo) is obsessed with MUSE. They show every friend their music videos and breaks down the meta narrative of them. He is *that* teenage friend who has to show every one the music. I’m going to see muse next month without him. And it feels like a small betrayal. But it’s a late show.

Well this sucks! But it's good information. TL;DR version: something else in our lives has gotten shittier.

Disappointed in Blomkamp. Won't watch. Controversial "views" are still views. Sigh.

NO KINGS. Earls and countesses are ok tho.

I used to swap video games with friends when I wa' a lad. Cassettes, cartridges, discs, then trade-ins - getting rid of physical media has nothing to do with moving to online distribution and everything to do with "make the line go up".

I feel old for asking this question, but do any modern vinyl records include MP3/WAV downloads anymore?

Happy to see that the VINES feature made the Emerging Screenwriters Horror QuarterFinalist. www.emergingscreenwriters.com/horror-winne...

“It never really gets easier to hear No.” I’ve been working in Hollywood for years. I’ve sold shows, written pilots, even made movies. And I still feel it every single time. Here’s what I’ve learned about what “No” actually means — and what it doesn’t. 🧵

Season 2 of Strange New Worlds is one giant swing after another and they all are so good. Wish I had jumped on earlier and even more sad that its end has been sealed.

As a film festival judge, there are times when there are good films but not a good fit for the fest and that’s always a hard adjudication.
