Why do we put up with this leniency towards people in a car who attempt to murder people on bikes ? @greenjennyjones.bsky.social @andy-cox.bsky.social
Will there be sentencing notes on this?

@lccwomensnetwork.bsky.social has produced two reports which are well worth reading to understand why women want Freedom to Ride lcc.org.uk/campaigns/fr...
Organisers Cyclox say: "Across the UK, women make half as many trips by bike as men and are more likely to be put off cycling by fears of busy traffic or harassment. This isn’t just about transport - it’s about equality, opportunity and giving more people the freedom to ride."

While The Telegraph has deemed 'picky bits' "the most revolting phrase in the English language", more Britons have a positive view of the term (43%) than a negative one (25%), with 31% neutral yougov.com/en-gb/articl...

On average there're now about 1.5m daily cycle trips in London🚲🚲🚲 We're working with boroughs to expand our network of Cycleways so that more people can safely cycle around the capital. Great to see the construction progress on the latest section on Cycleway 4 in Greenwich.
