he's fascinating because he's an incredibly rare case of someone's worldview being filtered through the lens of the carny days of wrestling and the US military but yet somehow ends up on the right side of most issues anyway, also he's an all-timer talent and he rules

bruh one of the Ethan Klien "clue" clips of him freaking out over a water bottle and then it pans out and he's got Hasan's stream playing full screen during the show has me howling, such an interesting crashout for an otherwise uninteresting man

this is dramaslop that the uninitiated don't need to worry about but it's hitting hard because EK has been on a hot villain arc since Oct 7th, his greatest achievement was establishing a legal precedent for online Fair Use and now he's spent 3 years trying to erase it by suing antizios into silence

A RED STAR SHINES OVER BRAZIL! Lula is reelected! Brazilians managed to mobilize and beat Bolsonaro, Trump, Meta, Google, Netanyahu, media oligarchs, corrupt judges, fascism, imperialism, apathy and hatred! May this victory bring hope to all our comrades fighting across the world! We can beat them

it's wild that every time there's some new Ethan Klien drama people have clips ready in the chamber of him talking about how what he just did is screwed up, the brainrot you have to go through for your biggest op to be yourself from 5 years ago

I’m sorry but this “core team” stuff has reached a level of absurdity. You can’t say this shit about a game that used hundreds of contractors.

GamesIndustry.biz@gibiz.bsky.social

Star Wars: Galactic Racer was made by a core team of 75 people. "What we wanted to do was keep that core small, smaller than perhaps you might have done in the past, and scale capacity and capability with what we call distributed development." https://bit.ly/4hT02qg

having to edit down Kingdom Hearts 2 into something comprehensible is already turning into the challenge of my life, I've been double checking the Wiki a lot and it's always a major warning sign when the word "appears" is in there a lot

I didn't watch any of the Foxy One Piece episodes on my first time round I took the warnings and fled to the manga but holy shit people are right they completely ruined it, it's supposed to be a quick bit of fun between two serious arcs why did they stretch it out to be a big complicated clusterhonk

I don't think there's a single change that I can remember that makes any sense to me it's only done for the sake of stretching it out, having extra rounds, extra ships on the boat race and Chopper getting stolen twice is just nonsense I like the Foxy Pirates! it's good in the manga!!!

bruh I'm so mad, I thought the Dragon Ball Beerus OP was mid because Youtube's algorithm puked up an undisclosed AI recreation over the original which I turned off within a minute, now I've heard the original and it absolutely slaps

all AI guys need to be bullied but spare a lil extra spice for guys who AI things that already exist, I also have to keep blocking pages posting AI versions of new card reveals because even Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V is too much work for these people

been skipping filler for the most part on my girlfriend's first One Piece watch but made an exception for G8, I don't think it's *that* good there's not a lot of meat to it outside of watching the Straw Hats run around a fortress and interact with normal marines but it's got a lot of fun moments

I really like Jonathan as a character but he's kind of a lil *too* chill for there to be any payoff to him, the obvious gag is he's larping that he's in an intense battle of strategic warfare while Luffy is running around at random but the joke just fizzles out and it just ends with a shrug

anyway we're now gonna plow through Foxy as fast as possible (which a like a lot in the manga but she won't read anything, cringe) and then we're finally onto WATER SEVEN. I'm trying so hard not to overhype it for her but I am buzzing with excitement at just getting to watch it again

Happy 29th anniversary to #Moon: Remix RPG Adventure, which was launched on the PlayStation in Japan on this day in 1997! A stylish and strange "Anti-RPG" that we love. 💚 You should play it! - Or don't! - The devs might understand. Review: www.rpgfan.com/review/moon/

I had never opened a Pokémon ETB before and I thought the lil book that give you cataloguing the set was really fun and cute but because I have the lil book I've ordered all my 30th Anniversary cards in a binder with gaps to fill, the lil book is the devil resist the lil book

catching up with some Best Friends LPs I never got round to watching before they completely fall into a time hole and become retro, watching A Way Out and man I have a lot of time for J Fares as a Games Guy but jeezus chroist stop letting him write the scripts for these games

the fascinating part is he's got worse, AWO is like a crayon rewrite of the Shawshank Redemption from memory and it's still better than the next two, and it's barely a problem for this game the co-op narrative design does all the heavy lifting they could be speaking in Simlish for all it matters

could actually argue that without all the platforming and game homages that filled up a lot of time in the following Hazelight games the hacky writing is more of a pro than a con, it makes both participants immediately understand the assignment in every scene and then the story is in the living room

I am terrible at Ace Combat but spiral crash into the ground 20 times in a row and then the next day I'm like "man I wanna give that another go" and I don't think any game has had that effect on me since I was a literal child

flying games are a mostly unfilled gap in my resume my only real experience with them are being confused at people complaining that the planes in GTA V control like planes and this

it's a fucking religion. almost everything they do is premised on the notion that they are creating a god that will save them. these are not serious people and they shouldn't be trusted

Shane Gillis sucks but I didn't understand at first why the bad joke was getting so much traction, I don't think people are mad about it specifically as much as there's a general cultural exhaustion of Guys Like This constantly being platformed and put in power, it's a sign of something good I hope

been messing around in Ace Combat 7 which is a longtime member of my "I'll get around to it in 3-5 years" list and it wasn't clicking much with me so I just figured fine I'm not really an air combat enjoyer in general but then I changed it to expert controls and OH here's where the game is hiding

I had about 20 minutes of panic that I was out of my depth setting up my SuperStation One but once you get past the initial setup loading in new boots and games into a MiSTER is super easy even for a dumbass, although I am still very grateful for the SuperStation's console mode interface

do the kids still tell you that Sega Saturn emulation is hard or bad or whatever, cos Doctah Wahwee has never looked or sounded better in this house

I've thrown Money in the Wank on in the background on the 'flix and if 9 year old me watched LA Knight get a three finisher combo on Reigns just for him to kick out and immediately give three finishers and beat him flat I would never give a fuck about LA Knight ever again

I only put it on for background noise while I was sorting cards and I skipped about 2 hours of it and turned it off at the wooden ambulance spot so can't say I was watching intently but my informed review is 2/10 No Mercy 1999 was literally 150 years ago can we just not do ladders anymore

I swear everyone in this industry has lost their minds, there's this moronic logic that if you eat more finishers it shows you have a bigger health bar and therefore are being protected but visually it's "stop STOP he's already dead!", noone can just lose normally they must be pounded into dirt

In Tom & Jerry: Fists of Furry, CPU opponents have the ability to jump an infinite number of times and they will make constant use of it to avoid fighting you. I have no idea why it's like this, but it's funny and it actually works in your favor since you can easily win via time out with a life lead
