"We want permanent DST!" - people in June "No wait maybe not!" - people in October Perhaps what these people want is simply 24-hour sunlight.

Permanent Standard Time is simpler and safer than permanent Daylight Saving Time.

It's things like this that make me call people who oppose bike lanes "pro-global warming activists."

“Dutch people cycle an average of 2.6km each per day. If this pattern was replicated worldwide, annual carbon emissions would drop by 686 million tonnes. This mammoth figure exceeds the entire carbon footprint of most countries, including the UK, Canada, Saudi Arabia and Australia.” @euronews.com

As we approach the crucial midterms, Donald Trump remains laser-focused on the issues most important to financially struggling Americans—golden ballrooms and fancy golf courses. He’s such a smart, relatable man-of-the-people that way.

More than three decades after the end of apartheid, families of victims of some of the worst crimes of South Africa's past are still fighting for justice. As survivors and perpetrators grow older, a new wave of legal efforts is seeking truth, accountability and reparations before it's too late.

Everything in this post is correct. That's why I encourage #a2council voters to be cautious about proposal E. It's far more important to do municipalization *correctly.* "Move fast and break things" is an even worse motto for utilities than it is for software companies.

And this, #a2council folks, is yet another example of why A2PP's misleading statements are harmful not only to Ann Arbor, but to municipal power in Michigan altogether. They inspire people who know nothing about the serious problems with Prop E to make lazy, misinformed quips.

The next time someone tells you how to vote on a local proposal, ask them to give a good-faith description of the other side's position. If they can't (or won't) do that, it's a strong clue that their opinion is uninformed.

Why does Ann Arbor for Public Power feel the need to lie? They could have said how many #a2council public commenters they got (an impressive amount!) without lying.

It would be one thing if they got called out and fixed it, but since they've been corrected they haven't edited or taken down the post (or even acknowledged my correction), but they have posted further.

The sheer number of misleading or false statements and Motte-and-Bailey fallacies from proposal E supporters on Reddit is really starting to annoy me, #a2council. Spreading FUD about the SEU is particularly infuriating.

C'mon #a2council, do something!

NYC is opening 160 car-free (but treat-filled) streets and plazas to enjoy fun and safe fall festivities this spooky season. Find one near you at nyc.gov/trickorstreets.

I wish #a2council would do this!

Only a couple days until we convert a parking space on S. State at Liberty into a space for people, not cars! We'll have comfy furniture, activities, and friendly faces. Urbanism Club and Wolverines on Wheels will also have parklets. Come through! Then, find us at Green Fair on Main St. downtown!
