So according to this Labour politician, even in a mixed hospital ward we're not welcome. It's lovely to be hated by all and sundry, no really, it's great to be an object of such derision that we're not allowed to just exist in public at any level.

Tonight there are going to be many trans individuals genuinely fearful for the future, again. People, once again, scared to seek treatment, scared of how they will be treated. This isn't some hypothetical debate. It isn't some fluffy, intangible, issue. People's lives are on the line, YET AGAIN.

In 2015, the UK was ranked first in Europe for LGBTI rights. Two years ago, just before the election of Keir Starmer, we were 16th. Today the UK is ranked 22nd.
