If you didn't construct the logic of the argument you are refining then you aren't identifying your rhetorical weaknesses and strengths, which is exactly the fucking purpose of asking students to create essays. I also notice that nowhere on here does it mention research & vetting sources.

"AI can draft an essay for you, especially if you give it a high quality prompt." Really? This is what MIT thinks high schoolers should learn? MIT's "Day of AI" dayofai.org provides materials for K-12 teachers and claims to have reached over 5,000,000 students to date. 1/2

Mass Effect was my ultimate white whale, my all-time dream project. For the last couple years I'd been in discussion w/ BioWare & EA to take on the project & as part of that I wrote close to 20 minutes of music to explore where the franchise can go next, may as well share it!

We literally have the largest bike-touring event in the world which has been an annual summer state tradition for FIFTY YEARS. There's a giant exhibit in the state historical museum about it. This is comical.

Joe Mitchell: "Thank God you're building the ballroom. Thank God you're getting rid of those awful bike lanes. We don't ride bicycles in Iowa."

Yes and also this sort of 'uniparty' nonsense feels so hollow deployed in the midst of a national stove-touching. It turns out the difference between a 'milquetoast corporate Democrat' and Trump was really big! President Harris would not be driving trans soldiers out of the military!

youtubers, streamers, podcasters, etc are always on this beat bc they don't know how anything works & know that if they say something like this, their audiences will lap it up now & also 3 years later when they point to total gay commie revolution not happening and go "see? i was right!"

In the bedrock of my soul I know he started out thinking the press pool was a literal pool and has been seething with disappointment since he discovered the mistake

President Trump has pushed to move briefings out of the White House press room. Aides say he wants an indoor swimming pool instead. nyti.ms/4eoW3AV

I spent ~half a year in D&D hybridizing an awakened shrubbery with a blue chromatic rose and a water plant from my sea elf's home... and this man joked it sticks its little legs into my character's tank and sips her water. I thought I was being so funny calling it an Andalite... but... ALL plants...

Ten years ago today. In just the last few days: Trump made a deal for the U.S. to buy Russian diesel, an economic lifeline for Putin; he and Elon Musk blamed each other for an order that slowed down Starlink satellite connectivity over Ukraine...

I swear to god so much of this is literally just people confusing measles and chicken pox

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Minnesota Republican state Sen. Bill Lieske: "Back in the day when the measles vaccine didn't exist, measles was a joke! ... yes, there are increases cases. How many of those are actually resulting in deaths? Are they just going home with the sniffles? Back in the day, people had measles parties."

Republicans will be like, “there’s a vast media conspiracy to give democrats the questions to all debates” and it’s just one of them read a little bit beforehand

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Can’t Allow Elon Musk the Power to Intervene in Wars No individual should be able to disrupt military ops like Musk did with Ukraine’s. I wrote that when he did it in 2023. Was told the problem was contract rules. Nope. Happened again. The problem is too much power, esp for an enemy of democracy.
